billet input shaft test.

From your site. :bang

IE 5513 closed forge one piece input shaft and piston retainer for 1994 and newer Dodge 518, 618, 46RH, 46RE, 47RH, 47RE & 48RE. This shaft uses the factory first gear and thrust washer, but just like the DiMartino Special it is rated to handle in excess of 2200 foot pounds of torque.

his image compares the IE 5513 (on the left) with the OEM part (on the right), as you can see it is a direct replacement.

Why don't you go back and read the webpage again. The 5513 is a one piece shaft just like the DiMartino and yes rated to 2200 ft pounds. The 1300/5225 is the two piece part that is being referred to in this thread. Is it really that tough to understand or are you just trying to put out annoying comments?

Here is a question for you opie, if we did not have a lock up trans. the shaft could be made smaller right? what would a 1" solid shaft take for TQ? in your opinion.

I made such a shaft for the first gens. It has the old 24 spline (same as the 727) in leu of the weaker same diameter lock up 23 spline. There are several interesting things learned over the years of doing these parts. If you are interested in one of the solid shafts let me know. Only other diff with them is they use the same smaller diameter hub splines, the same size that the competition still uses to this day. (Which worked fine up until the full weight 4x4 900 hp and up trucks)
