looks like a very nice product...i'm curious though,as to how well they'd install on an older steel tank? any real differance?

Yes on the old steel tanks there's not as much forgiveness.
We've got one on an old chevy 1500 w/ a steel tank and it's doing fine, just have to make sure you place it in the flattest spot possible.

Well I picked up a 77 PowerWagon and im going to get a sump for it. The bottem of the tank has a dip on it and isn't completely flat. Would it be possible to get the sump with the full ring that goes inside the tank and not the 2 halfs? Maybe alot to ask for but worth a shot.
