Looking for a good shop that can build a complete race bottom end 05 Common Rail Motor. Build would consist of 12V Rods, Fly Cut Pistons that are coated, Girdle for bottom block, etc..
I am in Phoenix Arizona but am able to Ship motor to shop. Any input on shops that do good work and are known for building High horsepower CR motors.

I can do it but if you want a big name try II for starters.

No i don't care about company name, i just want it done right and don't want to spend a ton of money and it not last or work. I would like some sort of info on what shop or person has built or trucks so i can see the quality of work they do.

Garmon is where mines at. Not exactly going for a race application but I wanted one that can take some good power and last with out problems or melt down.

Id be interested in helping you out after the good deals you have shot me in the past. What sort of HP and TQ are you chasing? The 05 engine will already have a block stiffener plate from the factory.

We've built some of the fastest CR engines in the country, many times over. We could help you.

any shops close to arizona or in arizona that any one knows of, i really would rather not ship engine if i don't have to as that is alot of added expense.

Not sure if he's still doing other things besides the Ravelco thing but, Chris Brahs is in NM which is probably one of the closest to AZ. Give him a call.... he does know what he's doing and have built his own truck.

CSnyder above would be a good choice too. To answer your original question, IMHO... Scheid Diesel is hard to beat in the quality of work done. That's a long way from you though.

Wide Open Performance, in Sandy Utah. They have a 1000hp daily driver CR with almost 100k on it...

Wide Open Performance seems to be more Fords from there website.

There site does reflect that but they do a lot of work on Cummins. Mine for one.

Besides if they can make a single turbo 7.3 make 1000hp the cummins is easy.

God damn it JD everytime you post that pic i drool all over my keyboard.

Haha thank you. Wide open does a very good job at taking care of every single little detail when it comes to a build.

Here are some pics of a 12 valve they built. They did everything pictured cage, manifold....well except that nice piece of scheid equipment.

how pricey are they though for a built motor, i mean i know its not going to be cheap but i have talked to a few shops already and the prices they are throwing out there are crazy, some are saying 15 to 20 thousand which is WAY more than i am willing to spend on a bottom end and head of motor only.
