Porting the new Hamilton 12v head.

WTF are you talking about? How it will start without a flex plate? Your freaking hilarious! He was stating that you have to buy all that stuff plus your super bad TH400 glide you want. We have all our stuff and it works. Why would you want an over drive in a race vehicle? LOL If you can't answer that for your self I wouldn't worry about building a "Race" vehicle. Stick with banging your key board.

Stick with banging his key board huh? What most don't seem to understand is he is talking about a race car, ACTUAL race car, not a slow corvette diesel or even a pro stock diesel pickup, as in not a big deal to drop 250,000k on a new car. We are limited in our tire and gearing and transmission because most limit their minds.

BowtieCTD Billys post went right over your head. LOL

Slow corvette diesel? How about go fuk your self and build some thing and come race it. Don't just drive your buddy's stuff!

IMO we aare more limited by our wallets than our minds. But A LOT of diesel guys don't seem to have the racing background of a few others. So maybe they simply don't know what is out there, or where to look. And if they do, I bet there is a bit of sticker shock.

And BowtieCTD seem more lost than others. LOL

And DieselWrencher has a point too. :kick:

Just for the record, yesterday I was at the shop and got on Nick's computer and I wrote that post not him. I didn't really pay any attention his auto logs him self on. I should have deleted it and reposted it under me but I really didn't think it was a big deal. Yeah I guess I'm lost because I didn't run right out and purchase a pro mod drive line for my lower budget build. I guess all these big pocket guys should get their "Race programs" to the tracks and maybe our sport will have as much turn out at events as these forums have. :Cheer:

Parts might be limited, or possibly experience with what parts are out there....but there are still lots of possibilities.

And Taylor, I don't know if you meant to call someone's car slow for real or not, but you just lost some respect in my eyes. Whether it's fast or not, that is still someone's project they've spent hours upon hours working on....to kick them in the nuts because it's not some $250K racer is just fukked up.

I know the limitations on my build, and it wasn't exotic parts or engineering, or even my mind...it was cost. Sure, I could spend more, but at some point, it stops being fun....fukk that. I'll never win a dime in this sport, I'm here for the good people, and the fun!

well said

I also should have mentioned the excellent ideas that my good friends have added to this build. I have some great friends who have been a huge help with this thing, since I've been so busy I can't even go look at it much:D

They've had some very good ideas about how to tackle some interesting issues!
Chris

I've seen his #2 Vette making hits at the track - I think he's done a great job... certainly not worth of :kick:

I apologize to DieselWrencher I know I said slow diesel corvette, but I meant as a whole our sport is slow and in it's infancy, look at these light trucks and cars with the power they are making, then you look at the suspension and the vehicles in general and see why they run the times that they do. Alot of the cars running could be so much faster, but people stick with what works and what their buddy car does.

Well let's just say I'll try to change that for you....

This thread took the oddest derail(s) ever. Started talking about porting a new head, someone chimed in with a polished combustion chamber, that some how turned into the best and cheapest transmission for both heavy and light vehicles, followed closely by the fact that you can spend a small fortune to build a better transmission, and now to who can think outside the box.

Ain't Comp D the bestest??

Regardless of the multiple derails, it's good conversation!

I have a question out on another forum that has yet to get a decent reply to the problem (for three years-can't believe it hasn't been locked). I bump it up everyonce in a while too, just for S's & G's, I don't even have the same engine in that ride, so the question is null and void. But the fact that no one wants to answer a simple question irritates me. LOL
