How many 12mm pumps over 800 on fuel? Over 900?

A lot of pullers are c.1,200-1,500 at the crank with built 12mm pumps, but good luck seeing any of them on the Internet ;)

I hear how easy it is to get 800-900 hp with a 12mm pump on fuel only and was looking for a show of hands and what setup you are running. Again, fuel only 12v or 24v/p-pump.

I don't see anything here about charger size?

Yeah Buddy! I was wondering when you would chime in!

I can vouch for Wimers, he built my 12mm 7-8 years ago.

I damn near got a brand new pump pushing 700cc for 1k. The only thing i didnt get done internally was the cam. He told me if i ever did want it done to just bring the pump back. I say money well spent.:Cheer:

I think we are assuming 2.6 for a puller because we doubt a 3.0 truck running a 12mm pump. I dont even know of a worthwhile 2.6 truck running a 12mm pump.

The ones I know of are mostly Open Class/Brush pullers who use a lot of air to make up for the lack of fuel...and the pumps are mostly built by the same few people.

Didn't Darren do 900+ in his 1/2 ton a while back on a 12mm?

887 pump 1000.8 hp. 15:1cr 66mm over a 97mm turbo

Was watching some of your videos the other day. Safe to say you didn't do it at 20* of timing? :p Sounded pretty wicked!

I'm at 28 maybe 28.5 now according to the dial gauge and the truck has responded pretty well at wot from what my 50% accurate sotp says. Here is a general question that's been on my mind. Would it be safe to say that a 12mm pump could benefit more from more timing than a 13mm given the 12mm pump does not inject the fuel as quick as a 13mm will? Just a thought.

Wish I'd have know, I just went through there on the way to chris's a few weeks ago. I stopped on the 3rd exit to pick up a trans for Jesse. I'm looking up that Winsted one now.

Thanks!

If you're talking about the one by the John Deere dealer that's the one you take to get to my place.

Sorry about the hijack Ron.

I got ya. I could see 1200 on a well tuned truck. 600cc is about the most usable flow you you can get from a 12mm pump so at 2hp per cc thats 1200 with real good tuning. I am real curious to see who has gotten there, and what they had for a setup.

That make good sense from my uneducated opinion, I would be curious what a good pump guy would say about that.

It would seem a great many, that share on the interweb, who make sizeable power #2 only with a 12mm pump run pretty high timing (over 25*) stock pistons or not. There are always exceptions to the rule ofcourse.

Ill let you know after ts an im only at 21°the of timing. What do you mean there is only 600cc usable fuel from a 12mm?
