Firepunk Labor Day Dirt Drags and Dyno Day for Charity

I had a hell of a time today! We showed up late and i only made 1 test pass, to get accustomed to the track and lights. Won 2 of my races in the first round and the truck was launching hard and running down the track awesome. During the break i took some time to make some tuning tweaks and talked to people. They called us back to the line and guess what, the damn thing wouldn't start. :doh: Same issue its been having off and on for a while, crank all day but won't even try to fire. So i had to drop myself from the class. About halfway through i got it fired up, but it was too late.

Still had a great time, very well organized and everybody was super nice! Can't wait for the next one!




BTW, it was nice to see an OBS 7.3 take home the win. :cheer:

12.80's on fuel and 10.60's on two stages of spray with a stock bottom end! :rockwoot:
 
I'm curious how many converters got burnt up because several competitors didnt know how to stage..lol
 
Agree, I smelt a few clutches. The winner of the manual class was a customer of mine and his clutch is now slipping badly.

Lol. Wasn't saying he didn't get lucky. A win is a win. For a stock injection pump he did well.
 
Thanks to everyone who came and participated in our Charity event, a lot of willing hands that made things run smoothly and lots of generosity was shown. We even had $700 of purse money generously donated back into the charity from 4 different winners and you have no Idea how much it means to us! Thank You!

The crazy thing is that 3 years ago this started with a handful of trucks and some quads racing in a bean field on Labor day. Yesterdays event had right around 700 paid through the gates, who knows how many will be there next year?

I did a bunch of work to that truck earlier this summer. P7100 swap, 2nd gen IC, O-ring head and some other goodies. Never got to tune it after he swapped chargers but it has the potential to run pretty well.

Cant believe i had to miss this Event guys but my new baby comes first. Hopefully next year!!
