Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Yeah, that belongs to a good friend of mine, it's coming together little by little, I just put together a turbo for it before Williamstown, and it decided to pop the air to air down there.

That truck is definitely making some progress. I've seen it pulling probably four years now, heck maybe longer than that. The street semi class in Ohio is getting shook up the past few years. Seemed like the Scott cabovers were winning every pull I went to, but now there is some competition for them. The Hume Supply International has been laying down some really nice runs this year, as well as Sluss Trucking.

Yuck. Cummins hasn't built an engine worth owning since the signature 600. I'd buy a glider and put a cranked up 12.7 series 60 in it. If I HAD to buy new I'd buy a star car with a 600 horse DD15. Cummins can take that isx boat anchor and stick it where the sun don't shine. Haha

They can be made to run good. Just pray the fuel pump doesn't explode and ruin the entire engine on the 2250's. You would think Cummins would have this common rail thing figured out but you would be wrong.

yeah and the dang lift/prime pump that seems to leak every time ya turn around..

I think i did probably about 12-15 in the 1st year I was @ peterbilt, I was amazed as well..

The last Pete I drove had a 550 ISX in it and it was relatively problem free aside from the leaky lift pump that stranded me in Montana for two days, a turbo that chit the bed on cabbage hill in Oregon, and a belt tensioner that quit tensioning in billings mt......but that POS acert in the last KW I drove never left me stranded anywhere and only ever lost an IVA......what a junker those are! Haha

Oh dang man! What are you going to do when it rarely breaks down? Work? Who the hell wants a truck that doesn't require a box of EGR valves just to get through a week? Haha

No you'll just need head gaskets.

I've only done 2 HG on the ISX, but the egr cooler and DPF doper, countless.. a few cracked DPF's due to coolant and or excessive cracks due to coolant and oil saturation..

Just wait for time to inframe one and they find out that cams are junk, makes any caterpillar look cheap at that point.
