Truckers, lets see your rigs!

I keep my floor spotless and never wear shoes in the truck at all, so needless to say my dash is almost never dirty lol

You roll my way. I never wore shoes in "my" trucks. If I couldn't wear socks, I didn't need to be driving it. Always kept towels in the floor.
 
I'm a neat freak when it comes to truckin, it almost feels weird to me to have shoes on in a vehicle

Glad I'm not the only one. I literally would get so used to not having shoes, I couldn't drive them smoothly with shoes on.

Anything under 90* I'm driving with the windows open. I live down 5 miles of gravel road from the nearest blacktop and it gets parked in a high traffic gravel lot. It's gonna get dusty, also I'm way too lazy to yank my boots off every time I hop in and out of the truck to move it 5 feet forward or back when pulling a hopper bottom. When I'm pulling flatbed? Yes it stays much cleaner cause I often have down time while loading. NOWWW since you two are interior experts what color should I paint the dash plastics?

I'm just the opposite. I can't drive without shoes. Hell, it even feels weird when I drive with normal shoes instead of boots.

In a truck, I can't drive with shoes. I have no use for shoes in a truck.

Unless your driving a Honda Civic why would you paint dash plastics?

I'm not a "neat freak" but I can't drive with shoes on any more. I can feel the splits way better in socks and my feet don't get all sweaty and smelly. I wear romeos or moccasins usually but I've had to go to more of a work boot since I popped the tendon on the bottom of my foot.

Time is money when you're doing my line of hopper work. Minimum of 3 loads between 7-5 sometimes as high as 11. I don't have time for yanking boots 50 times a day. Lol

I've been thinking about pulling the dash apart on my FLC to paint. But I'm afraid I'd never get the paint to stick to that old plastic. I've heard that there is a plastic primer that adheres to the plastic and will allow you to paint the dash without paint just flaking off. What truck are you talking of painting the dash? The red Pete?

As for the shoe conversation. If I had a relatively new truck that was clean inside to begin with I'd probably have to pairs of shoes. But then again floor mats work well if you're careful.

Another reason I was never interested in harvest work.

Yea the red Pete. Since I put a new steering wheel and all in it. Lol
 
Newest addition to the kern haulin fleet

06 379 C13/15 speed 3:55's 244" wheelbase weighing in at a mere 16,295 pounds. Didn't really want a c13 but for the miles and price I couldn't pass it up.

I wouldn't want longer than that up here anyway. We do lots of work for farmers and getting out of snow filled crossings on a narrow icy backroad is tough enough.

On a side I've got a frame question. If got a rear clip off an 08 kW that I plan on putting in my 94. Would you recommend swapping parts out or just cutting frame and welding together?
