Truckers, lets see your rigs!

That's interesting info. An I agree there is no way they work it at that level. I think it's funny when they roll in with the FLD with a single axle bumper pull trailer hooked to it for the golf cart.

I was wondering the same thing. I didn't know for sure it was a cat as I've never seen it up real close but you can see yellow paint on the engine when it drives by.

Is that why they have only had one truck out recently?

Be a good vacation for you guys, load up and come play in the Midwest next summer. You've got a place to stay for free here!

Im not sure, that is one of the first pulls they have been to in the area, they were one their way to wilmington spring pull but had trailer trouble or something. Id say they will run them the rest of the year and swap over winter.

It would be fun to go on tour. If only our trucks ran a little better and looked a little nicer.

You've got all fall and winter to get them ready!:poke::lolly:

Gotcha. They were on their way and got a couple flats on the trailer and couldn't get them fixed in time to get to Wilmington.

Paccar MX13 deleted and tuned. I got a buddy with one in a 384. Consistently getting over 8mpg and pulls like a freight train.

Can you share some info on this? I'm about to give up on them replacing this T660 I'm driving. Maybe I can convince them to delete it like most of the rest of our trucks.

I'm not sure who's tuning he's running but he put a Full Throttle manifold and billet 6 blade S475.

Ok... Questions.
What's the up and downs to flex-air?
They seem to ride as nice as low air and get around better. They don't look as strong as either of the other air rides and I've heard of guys having the bushings wear out fairly quickly. I've only drove one and it wasn't for very long but it felt nice.

what no bumper lights Taylor? I thought you were a real super trucker? LOL :hehe:
I need to get some lights on my bumper somewhere, it looks kind of odd without any

I've got the Kenworth version of the flexair and with 1.1 million on it, about 150k being oilfield, this suspension has proven itself in my mind, it rides good, it's more stable than a low air, it's light, and it holds the road well in the slippery chit. I wouldn't hesitate to spec a truck with flexair/AG380

That's good to hear, a buddy of mine has 2 of them and has had decent luck but he doesn't run many miles or very heavy. I'd heard of a couple guys having bushing wear on the upper pivots and the track bar bushings but that was years ago and nothing I verified personally.

I'm sure you know how ND oilfield service is on a truck haha, so I don't need to say how chitty the conditions are, my bushings and everything seem to be in good shape and doing well. The ones We struggle with is our eight bag suspensions breaking the bolts that hold the two dogbones on top of the differential, it seems like we have to replace 3-4 of those a year while our trucks with the ag380/flexair haven't had any repairs at all. And our tankers are putting down 40-45k worth of weight on the drive axles too so they're getting beat on pretty hard.....

Problem getting more than 32 psi of boost out of my Volvo D16, some well hidden limiter in software. Made 960 hp/1800 rpm and 3250 lbft/1200 rpm at crank with that boost. WHP about 880. American Mustang dyno used the European way. We did steady rpm pulls because tyres started to spin during acceleration pulls when turbo hit.

European way being steady state engine and increase load? The only real way to dyno?

Is there anything the Europeans DON'T do better?! Sign me up! **Insert fart noise**

Is there anything European over here that is even the slightest tiniest bit decent?

on a side note I had several customers buy MBE 4000 turbochargers from me. Anybody want to guess what a dealer charges for such a thing? I'll tell you. $7600. I called bullchit on it to the first guy. After several I am starting to believe it.

I don't understand how this happens. I have seen many trucks at a much higher horsepower and torque make pulls on the dyno and not spin the tires on a mustang dyno.

Maybe your theory and prep is incorrect...

Oh right that's out of the realm of possibilities...
