I did kick an orange construction barrel at some workers outside Williston ND a couple years ago. Had our D7 cable plow on. Met another oversized load thru their construction zone. Caught the side of the barrel with rear trailer tire coming around a hairpin corner. Sent that barrel sailing towards their dirt crew building the road.
In manitoba they're pretty liberal with annual permits. One of the conditions is you're supposed to check construction zones width limit online. Problem is they're good with hard objects like concrete barriers but terrible with the orange cones.

A couple years ago there was a 2 lane under construction. The shoulder on the other side was gone with a nice dropoff. They had orange cones in the middle AND on the other side where the dropped was.

Her comes mr. Oversize the other way. Instead of slowing down and assessing the situation he SPEEDS UP. He smokes those ****ing cones so hard they're launching off whatever his oversize load is. I think he was trying to set an Olympic record. I still remember those two guys faces in that daycab just howling.

So I look at my phone and sure enough ZERO width redtrictions for that stretch of road.

If you aren't running the logs, what information does it provide the insurance company?

I've heard of serval agent's blatantly stating we won't renewal if you don't have ELDs, our policy is up for renewal in March.

I'm not letting them put even a GPS in the truck, if I'm put in a position that I need to bend alittle it won't work while the truck is away from home.

I'm guessing the agents believe the constrewed data that falsely states ELD trucks are more safer than non eld trucks

White T800. Older white haired guy.

You need to give her your truck specs and have her call around for an adapter. Give her my number, I’ll sell her one. Lmao

Raymond is a nice easy going older guy...

He's just trying to stay out of the house lol
Talked to him Wednesday night, said that cat isn't making boost but still pulling 6.X MPG at 80k, said as long as Mark has work... it's going to keep moving his mechinc works one his truck as a side job.. I didn't ask who it was, but sounds like it wasn't easy to get things in and out... Mentioned few other things that needed replaced soon as well just stuff that was worn out

I don't have your number or know where you work..
Though I've kinda assumed it was st Paris truck n equipment

I'm sure the 3126 it originally had did have a diagnostic port. The DT466E did as well, it's completely useless since I pulled all corisponding wires out of the truck

Company bought the permits, state routed us that way.

I'm actually waiting to see if some certians things happen again, preferably on text or paper, that would leverage things little better my way..
Basically big game of chicken

So, we were swinging me new 3406b into my truck tonight and found a giant crack in the pan. I have the pan off my old motor but it had a spacer plate on it, although the pans look identical. Is there a good enough reason to run the plate to buy 2 pan gasket sets and deal with that bs?

I used the girdle on my C18 but I wanted big HP. If your not doing that I would use the rubber C15 gasket and ditch the plate. Screw those leaking paper gaskets

Ok. From what I can tell, the B's never came with them so somebody must've added it. I'll see if I can come come up with an e gasket.

The C15’s use the big rubber reusable gasket and only uses 1/2 the number of bolts. But I’ve seen 2 Acert blocks crack from an unused pan flange bolt hole.

I got my girdle from a 350hp PEEC. If any engine didn’t need extra block support it is a peec. Lol

We've torn down 3 - 3046B's in the last year that all had them.

A PEEC engine with a girdle!!! Lmao

I think all the B’s had them. I like the added strength but hate that its almost impossible to keep them from leaking. Look like a Detroit

I agree, but we've been lucky so far. Healthy slathering of Permatex aviation gasket sealant, and the paper gaskets. We're also stationary engines, so that probably helps.

Well my problem is laying under the truck trying to get the girdle or pan into place by myself and bumping something and moving it trying to get bolts in.

We've use strands of wire or fishing line to hold the gasket(s) and girdle in place. Start a few of the bolts and slip the wire out.
