We are not talking about monster pumps. Adam does have a bad a$$ truck, but he is running a monster pump not a dragon fire pump.

As far as Gus's truck it has a monster pump also. It runs mid 11's on fuel, it did run a 7.05 in the 1/8th mile with a monster stage 3 but it did not last and as far as I know Mike does not make them anymore.

I spent a good bit of money on the dragon fire pump and felt like it was not worth what I payed for it, just my $.02.

Anyways yeah adams truck made some sick numbers but i think those are about to be blown away for sure.

I cant remember off hand. I called II and they said run it so thats what i am doing. With the pump on my truck and the inj i have there is so much fuel that i can not drive down the road with any throttle at all without is smoking like a train. I am still indecisive about this dang pump. But oh well i guess i am going to run it until the motor decides to give up.

I don't think so his truck is gonna blow some doors off here soon, that trucks dialed in mid 10's next couple of weeks,so get your welders warmed up record breaking time west coast style lol.....
 
OK, we know some monsters make good power. But AGAIN, where are the dragon's record breaking runs? dyno slips? pulling titles?
If an SOVP can make 650hp and the dragon is rated @ 140% where are the 900hp VP trucks OTHER than the monsters?

I made 630hp with no box or programmer. But there will be some bigger numbers comming soon i hope. Going to the bully dog days this weekend and i think i have it dialed in.

Exactly! I keep hearing (just like the hot rod) that the boxes dont add squat! and the pump is already near max output.:bang
 
So who wants to donate for some dyno time? I will dyno a SO/Dragon Fire/ Monster 3 back to back with multiple boxes - including the new quad box and redline.

I gained over 2seconds from the box being off to the box being on. So you tell me. You can defenitly tell the difference with the box on and you can tell a difference from 15% fueling to 50% fueling and 75% fueling. At 75% fueling it has no manners at all. throttle touchy pulls rpms way to fast. But my redline keeps timeing out on me when it pulls more than 4000rpms
 
I don't believe Gus ever actually made it to the track with the monster pump..... O'lee Poole built the truck engine that ran the 11's (if I remember correct), the Gus rebuilt it and installed a monster pump. From that point on he never made it to the track or dyno.

Olee did build the engine in the "cummins out runs a viper" video, but he was also spraying it. Some local guys built his race truck now (and pulling truck for that matter), not Gus. It did have a stage 3 monster on it when it ran a 7.05 in the 1/8, but the pump did not last long. It ran a 12.19 (with Gus driving) at rockingham back in august and 11.65 (with Jody Pearson driving). It was dynoed, but it was on a dynocom and was like 800+/- corrected.

I am in no way defending Gus, just stating facts.

The 11.65 and 12.19 were all :nos: passes werent they including the 800hp dyno run?

With absoluetly no box for tq managment and boost fooling or anything it ran a 14.45 with the redline and only the redline at 45% fueling it ran a 12.98. with a small shot of :nos: a 1.98 60ft and a 12.4 @109. This was with a truck with full replacments front and rear, a 250lbs passinger and BFG load range E tires.

I ran a 12.83 with no box and a 13.01 with a box

Dang i was wanting to see better times than these and jtk's. Id REALLY like to get a better pump just havent seen any good data but only out of 1-2 trucks.

Ive ran a 13.4x with just an so pump, no boxes (cause my dumbass hooked the ground and pump wire on my tst up backwards and fried it)

Theres a guy on here with an 02 single 66, mud tires, road armors, had a hotrod, bd rad & AFB and ran 12.08 fuel only.
I'm STILL waiting to see the big #s this pump is supposed to make.:bang

Just wanted to clarify that mike is still making stage 3 pumps and is working to get even more fuel out of them he is always trying to to get more and make them better

GOOD! Its too bad that the "big names" arent putting the effort in like the "little guys". I love the dummies out there that feel if shieds or II hasnt done it , it cant be done. I think if guys like mike had 1/2 their budgets we'd have a good pump already. too bad they cant work together to get it done.$.02
 
very true i agree that if the big boys havent done it then it doesnt exist or it isnt worth a thing in many peoples mind, we do have a good pump the monster pump has proven itself Mike keeps upgrading and making better parts and continues to get more fuel out of them, he is one of the only guys out there that still is and will be workin for us vp guys
