Gainesville Raceway, Gainesville Florida, August 29th

yea, his last test and tune he ran a 9.97 I believe at somewhere around 141-142. They gave him a hard time at the tower a bit because he had some licensing issues. During eliminations he turned it down a bit to keep it above a ten. Then for the last round he let er eat and ran a 9.92. But I'm sure when Chris gets back to Tennessee he'll have more details.

I had a great time, Way better turn out then last year. I liked the later time as well. Being able to watch the GAWD truck and garmons truck, not to mention all the other trucks and people made it all worth it. All in all it was a great event, and can't wait till next year.

Don't forget bigdodge, He put on a great show for us even though they were having problems with traction last night. Thanks to all that helped put it on and put in time getting their trucks ready. My group had a great time and I can't wait for next year.

On another note, who was the dumba$$ in the what looked to be blue 4x4 2nd gen dodge long bed ext cab. Had his mirrors folded out. He was driving like a absolute idiot in the pits and as he was leaving. The younger generation diesel owners there where not even acting like this. Really the only bad bug of the bunch that I witnessed.

Don't want to get to off subject and make this a negative thread, but really. No need to drive like that and show off. If you want events like this to stay around, Stop acting like that.

Thanks, I knew I was forgetting someone. That truck was another truck that made it all worth it and such a good time. The race between him and the garmon truck left me happy and that was enough for me, everything else was a bonus. Really showed what these trucks are capable of.

i saw the GAW truck click off a 9.91 i believe, also rudy's reg cab truck ran an 11.4x of sorts at 118 i believe

Yea, Gabby was a 9.92 at the end, he joked around in the staging lanes about wanting to run 8.90's...I think the truck has it in it. It's truly amazing what those guys are doing with a single.

Not to mention the guy with the duramax that had his air horn hooked up to his key fob and would hit it every time someone would walk by his truck. Time to grow up...
Who had the half ton RCSB with the cummins in it? Talk about sleeper! Some more go fast parts and some traction...

Yea it got annoying hearing damned air horns, we can't go fast, but we can be loud. As far as the 1500 goes, if he had anymore power or anymore traction I'm more than positive he would spit that five lug axle out like used chewing gum.

Overall though, it was a pretty good race. I really have to hand it to Chris and Robin for singlehandedly putting on the event. It sucked waiting for them to clean up where the gassers either oiled down or broke on the track, I felt bad for the 'vette that spit a halfshaft his first run. Shaw (can't remember his first name) had a quick running second gen 12 valve from the Garmon camp, but he sure couldn't keep those boots on, maybe next time. It was good to finally meet the FCDP guys, can't wait until the ranger is done, although I think we'll have to put Adam on prozac so he doesn't worry so much about people leaning on it. LOL LOL LOL

I must say the Gabby and the GAW guys were top notch guys, very approachable to talk to in the staging lanes and very hospitable. I can't believe what they've accomplised on a single turbo. Get those passes in so we can do it legal next time.

I was glad for the WAO guys that won Sportsman, really meant a lot to em.

Neilden, that boys got a few screws lose, seriously.

TurboMatt, always good for a laugh, always.

I'll think of more..

Oh yea Robin is good at keeping the concrete sidewalks from floating away after hitting the purple velvet bag...

Maybe I missed it somewhere....Who won ProStreet (or what ever class Jeff Garmon was in)?

I've been on duty all freakin weekend and couldn't go...Have bugged Jeff yet on the phone about how it went....How'd he do? Beat BgDodge??

Other results?

Um, Gabby won his class against Rudy, Southern diesel or w/e won against garmon, only because garmon's used spider gears shat the bed. Don't remember the guys name who won sportsman class, but it was WAO racing, a slick 6 liter from NC

Yea, super street, but he was licensed correctly to make the passes legal, so as soon as he gets his license straightened out he'll easily back those passes up, and take the record.

That was a good time out there. We were the bunch with the black RCSB 1/2 Dodge 12-valve. It is a work in progress (stock governor springs killed us) and that was the first time we have had it to the strip since we got it together.

Couple pictures I took:
