2013 MDTDC FALL BRAWL! October 19-20th 2013

Big Angry

GRRRRRRR! GRRRRRR!
The Mason-Dixon TDC would like to welcome all members here to our annual Fall Dyno Event/BBQ. Once again, we'll be running both Saturday and Sunday, in an effort to get as many trucks across the rollers as we can. So Here is the info of what, where and when...

What-"2013 Fall Brawl"

When - Saturday and Sunday October 19 and 20th, 2013
We'll start rolling around 9am, stop at noon for lunch and run till???

Where- Dave Guy Racing
901 Range End Road
Dillsburg,PA 17019
(717)-502-0880

Cost...$75 for 3 spins with HP/TQ readings

Hoods must close and latch

We ask that those with stacks try to loosed the flex pipe so we can get the soot catchers on them, as all trucks must be able to have the exhaust routed outside the building, or you won't be able to run.

Dually owners must pull the outside rears to fit on the dyno, there will be a jack/tools available to use before/after your pulls.

Please use caution (and 4x4) when parking in the grass, Dave doesn't want or need his yard torn up, especially if the weather is wet.

Please Bring something for our BBQ/Lunch each day. We hope that you'll stay and eat with us, we'll provide the grill, but all food is 100% Donation, so bring some to share, covered dishes, meat for the grille, drinks, snacks etc.

Please pick up after yourself, every year, there is some garbage left on the hill. People will walk down to watch the dyno, or get something to eat, but cannot remember to bring their garbage with them and throw away.

Burnouts, smoking out the highway, and generally being a moron will not be tolerated. Come have fun with us, but do so responsibly.

Also, only staff members/truck owner will be permitted in the dyno bay. There is a large screen inside the shop where you can see the results as they unfold, and we also put them on a large dry erase board, In addition, resist the urge to stand directly behind the dyno bay when trucks are running. You never know when something will come apart and a u joint coming off at 120 mph will leave a mark. We have had some close calls with driveline parts in the past, but we've been lucky. We don't anyone to leave with less teeth or more scars then they came with.

Also Note.....
Curtis Rice Bracket Shoot-Out....
-On your T-Time card, on the back, you will write down your best guess at what HP you will make.
-When you get in the dyno bay you pay the fee to dyno ($75)and a extra $5 to participate in the shoot-out.
-The closest owner to their HP guess will be the winner and there will be a runner-up also.
-Plaques will be given to both the Winner and Runner-up.
-ALL money collected for the Shoot-Out will be donated to Denton Rice College Fund.
-In the event of a tie, we will use the torque number to break the tie.

Curtis did a lot for the diesel community before his untimely passing. 100% of the money collected from those who choose to participate go directly to his son's college fund. Every little bit helps.

We may tweak the classes a little bit this year, and I'll post those later once they are finalized, as well as Sponsor info. This year is shaping up to be the biggest/best event we as a club have ever had, Stay tuned!

Thanks!

Can we register and pay ahead of time so we have a spot, it's a long way to come for some of us to not have a run or have to wait for the next day.

Sorry, as of now, we do 1st come 1st served. If that were to change, I'll post something up. Last Spring, we were actually ahead of schedule and were able to run 4 more trucks before lunch (that hadn't got a time slot) and also we added more slots at the end of the day to accommodate as many as we could.

Look forward to this event everytime it comes around! Fall brawl makes me diappointed because its almost the last event before everyone starts their new builds or stops driving them for the winter.

Yes, it is getting closer and closer.

Here are the classes/rules for our event.

As a quick note, if the participant level doesn't increase in the 1st gen modified class, it will probably go away. We have trophies for 3 places, and I think it's been at least 3 years since I even had 3 entrants in that class. So, if you have a 1st gen truck (any make) that meets the rules, you have a very good chance of placing.

I want to remind everyone that dynos to consider springing for the extra $5 for the Curtis Rice Memorial Bracket Shootout, it's for a good cause and to please bring something to share with the group for our lunch. We always need meat for the grille, side dishes, snacks and drinks.

Thank you all and see at the Brawl!

question? on the fuel only runs, is there any " spool shot" allowed to get the big charger lit, or is the nitrous supposed to be off at the bottle, and lines purged.

I have to work that weekend or I would be there. Might see if I can get away one of the two days for a run.

I will have a couple sets of injectors, set of twins, drag slicks and several other misc. parts there for sale if anyone is interested.

PM me for details.

See you guys there!!

This event is gonna be epic, Dimitri is in route and driving straight through, Va Outlaw is locked and loaded and ready to defend his spot as champ from our Spring Fling show. Maryland Performance-Diesel camp is bringing the heat with King Kong ready to lay the smack down and do an awesome job representing the Ford boys. To say it's gonna be an Epic weekend is gonna be an understatement !!!! So get your asses ready for a showdown from each of the big 3 !!! It's gonna be Huge !!!!
