5.9 CR going in a 1984 GMC 1500

Yep. It's a camshaft, connecting rod, and pushrod welded together.

Thanks y'all. Its very photogenic Coker.

I checked the fuel mileage after 280 miles. 22mpg driving the crap out of the majority of that time. Not mad at all.

Marine valve cover kit from Hoesli. Very happy.

Update:

1200 miles on the build... Zero issues. Instead of the planned power upgrades I took on another project and just enjoying this one for right now.

After about a year and 2500 street miles, I finally go this pig down the dragstrip. It went a best of 12.62 @ 113mph. I don't think it's too bad considering I'm still running the stock HE341 turbo. So now the power upgrades will start.

Put this side stack on to divert the smoke up. Worked great, but looks terrible.

Not bad... can the suspension handle you leaving any harder? Was a little hard to tell but didn't sound like you were too rev'ed up at launch. I've never dragraced, just wondering.

Suspension will, but the brakes don't want to hold it while trying to stage it. Gotta do some upgrading there.
