89 ford cummins conversion

I am but not dynamat brand. Same stuff at lowes is what I am gonna use

I have tried the stuff your probably thinking about using and it didn't do much for my club cab 12V with stacks! :bang

I would look into new stuff on the market called LizardSkin its a spray on sound deadener, and they offer a heat shield application that can be used together also! Summit & Jeg's carry it and its like $150 for a 3 or 5 gallon(?) bucket to do your truck.

where all did u put it?floor, firewall?

I only put it on the back wall of the cab, but I put 2 layers on covering the whole area from top to bottom and side to side. Thankfully I was only out a couple hours of work and $20-30.

I plan on using it on the firewall, cabfloor and back of the cab. I am gonna run the 6.7 turbo with normal exhaust exit. (muffler if it needs it)

What exactly do you do? It looks to me that whatever your day job is, its a good one if you have this much time to build a truck!! Must be doing something right!

You will regret this...especially since this truck is for your wife. :bang

I got a 4" kit from them several years ago for my 79 Chevy K20 and it rides like a buck board wagon!! :banghead: Rest assured nobody can ever sue them for false advertisement!!! LOL

Well I wasn't to impressed I ordered a kit for a f350 got one for a f250. Didn't have no swaybar drop links ,no shock covers,u bolts to short for the rear, front shock brackets had to be drilled out,,rear brake line won't reach, and had to grind the bolt down in the front so the axle would set all the wayb down so yea not really impressed so far

I'm not surprised unfortunately. The solid axle guys on ColoradoK5 (a 73-87 Chevy website) all speak highly of Tuff Country however.

I'm planning on getting out of pulling in a couple of years and doing a frame off restoration on my 79 and probably gonna build a 12V to drop in it. The FIRST thing going in the trash (or prob craigslist) will be the Rough Country springs & blocks! :rockwoot:

No homo, but i think i would marry you to if you built this for me LOL
