97 fummins sclb 12v zf6 build

this is the first build thread that ive made so bear with me. i bought this truck last april with intentions of a fummins project but has grown into a full out restoration and build. Hope you guys enjoy the build. The truck is a 97 f250 single cab long bed xlt. It had the 7.3 engine and zf-5. Plans are 12v cummins zf-6 and dana 60 front axle swap.

Striped frame. AS you can see there was a large oil leak in the front.

Frame wire brushed por 15 treated to 2 coats and 2 coats of chassis coat to cover over.

all engine parts were sent out to the machine shop. Block was bored .20 over. Crank checked out good and head was decked, ported and polished and was given a valve job. I dont have that many pictures of the engine build since i lost all photos off my phone of this but doing best with what ive got. I order the entire rebuild kit from enterprise. .20 over and marine bowl pistons.

block was fitted with arp main studs, also installed arp rod bolts and arp head studs.

Installed a hamilton 188/220 cam (not pictured) and marine bowl pistons

24v tappets were installed as well. head was fitted with 60 pound valves springs. 5x14 injectors

The pump is a 12mm 911 quick rate cam bosch pump. has 5500k haisley springs, laser cut delivery valves, .120 holders, rack plug, modifed afc. Injector lines are haisley .120 stainless steel lines.

Of coarse painted the engine up nice and fancy and polished the valve covers myself. That was the biggest PITA.

Picture of the conversion plate. Went with a south bend dual disc specific ford cummins clutch they said would withstand just about anything.

I swear if this was an extended or crew cab I'd be begging you to sell it to me when its done !

Great build, great progress so far, gonna be a nice truck when done.
