another cummins manifold

A thick carbon steel plate when heated very hot like I temps we run with are diesels will chunk off and flake off material . I would not won't that going into my turbos .

Even carbon-based stainless is a good choice for high-temperature service such as exhaust tracts - sure, it doesn't perform like a nickel-based stainless, but it's much cheaper as well.

Distortion is usually only a significant issue in applications where thin cross-sections and/or shielded ambients are combined with long-term heat soak during the alloy's austenitic phase.
