Sounds like a cool project keep us posted on build up. 1st i know of doing head work on a 6.4 Might look into Erics tuning at innovative. He is putting out bigger numbers than Spartan now. I am sure you are aware of that though. Why not go with Elite tow twins? Kit is made for this truck now. Unless you are wanting to do a one off.

I HAVE ALSO KNOWN MANY SO CALLED PORTERS WRECK HEADS BY NOT UNDERSTANDING HOW HEADS REALLY WORK.THEY THROW AROUND HEAD PORTING TERMINOLOGY SUCH AS SHORT SIDE RADIOUS AND WATERFALL EFFECT BUT HAVENT A CLUE.
I DISCUSSED HEAD PORTING RECIENTLY WITH A SO CALLED GOOD DIESEL MODIFICATION COMPANY, SELLING PORTED HEADS. I WILL NOT MENTION NAMES. THEY COULD NOT TELL ME WHAT A STOCK 6.4 HEAD FLOWS AT ANY LIFT NUMBERS INTAKE OR EXHAUST. THEY DIDNT EVEN KNOW AFTER PORTED NUMBERS. NOT TO MENTION HOW MANY INCHES OF VACUUM.
SO HOW DOES ANYONE MAKE AN INTELLIGENT DECISION ON WEATHER TO PURCHASE THIS WORK OR NOT.

I KNOW WHAT MY NUMBERS CAME IN AT. IN ALL RESPECTS PORT VELOCITY TOP AND BOTTOM OF PORTS. INTAKE AND EXHAUST FLOW NUMBERS AT ALL LIFT NUMBERS AND INCHES OF VACUUM.
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS DUREMAX HEADS HAVE MORE VOLUME AND MATERIAL TO WORK WITH. THIS IS WERE I AM GOING WITH A BILLET HEAD.FOR EVERY ONE CFM OF HEAD FLOW INCREASE IS WORTH 2.4 TO 2.6 HP ON A NORMALLY ASPERATED ENGINE. ITS HIGHER ON A TURBO OR BLOWER MOTOR. PRO STOCKS ARE ABOUT 2.8 THOUGH.
WHAT I AM SAYING IS YOU CAN HAVE THE BIGGEST BADDEST SHORT BLOCK AND IF THE HEADS DONT FLOW YOUR NOT GOING TO MAKE THE POWER YOU WANT. AND YES TURBOS HELP THIS OUT.
THIS IS WHY I THOUGHT BETTER HEADS WOULD BE NICE.
