Already found ways to improve on that design and the turbo is still on car....
Wil come up with something spectacular and post it up

Yeah, I was thinking of stacking a short spring with something like a valve spring for a variable rate that wil take 90 or so psi of drive pressure
 
That spring probably isn't heavy enough. I started with a single but ended up putting a double spring on. With the double it doesn't take alot to adjust it. PM me a phone number and I'll send a couple of pictures of some of mine if you want.

Valve spring will be to stiff. Mine came out of the spring boxes at the hardware store. The one on the 01 is going on over two years old without a problem.

I apologize I smashed my phone yesterday because it wasn't cooperating so I couldn't reply but yea hopefully u got what ya needed !
 
A little tip (rather crude measurement) but to help yourself choose a spring, most likely you will not be able to compress it with your thumb and pointer finger. I was surprised at how heavy of a spring I actually needed.
