Looking for 9" advice

Small update...Things are going a lot slower than I would like. My third member came in, I had a driveline made, mounted the fuel cell, and fuel pump. I found a good deal on a short box, and gutted it. I got the rear frame cut down and a crossmember made to mount to the bed. Now I'm working on finding a good spot for the batteries. Does anybody know if the Strange Nod housing has to be painted? It feels like it may have a coating on it already.

That's a killer build! FWIW, my Strange pro-iron case rusted the first time it saw humidity. If you want it to stay pretty, plan on painting it.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

how wide is the housing (flange to flange)? Killer build btw!!

I don't remember off the top of my head. Its S&W's 28" wide rear frame package with back braced 9" housing. I'll see if I can get a measurement for you tomorrow.

I'd appreciate that! I have a narrowed backbraced 9"/ alston ladder bar rear that I'm hoping to use in the future.

The axle is 38 1/2" wide from flange to flange. The Frame is 28" outside to outside. The system is made for a 14" wheel with 4" backspace.

Worked on some plumbing today.

Thanks a bunch for the measurements. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see it in person.
