Project F-Wagon

The rad is about 3 1/4” thick, 2” space between rad and fan, clutch fan is about 3”. So you have a good 8” to work with.

The back of the engine is 1.5” from the firewall and the overall depth of the engine bay is 41 3/4”

Some math and you can figure what you have space for. I don’t think a 53 is as deep

I haven't measured mine yet. That project is on the back burner till I get my shop and house finished. But it's in the back of my mind, because I can't wait to start on it! Keep the updates coming.

Well we went for our first rip today! Got all the fluids topped up, no leaks yet. Built a little center console for my switch panel, some USB ports, and a trans temp gauge, and gives me a spot to toss ammo, gloves, phone, etc. Patched up the rusty old trans hump cover with some old plates, including the one that came on this old ford. Also fit up the original bumper. I’m not sure how to post a video so I took a screenshot of the video. Cheers

bet that was a good feeling. hows she run?

Took awhile to get it to smooth out after having the fuel system apart, new fuel lines, and new injectors but she seems to be right now. It definitely wants more timing. I did have it advanced a tooth when this engine was in my other truck but I went back to stock due to much smaller injectors in this setup. She’s very rowdy and snappy down low though.

Truck seems to drive great. The steering will take some getting used to. Went from stock steering with 33s to crossover, 37s, and a smaller steering wheel. Like all projects, still have some little things to work out but it’s nice having it run and drive.
