Last one til my ARB gets here and I can figure out where to fit in the rest of the bracing.

Anyone have a suggestion on an aluminum radiator? Looking for something 26x20ish with (2) -12an fittings on the passenger side. Coolant plates I have are threaded for #12. Any thought on the need for a #16 system? This will be mounted behind the cab or I would use standard hose ends.

I called Griffen radiator and they have one for $460 without fans or shroud.

You can check out mishimoto's website, they have tons of different racing application radiators, 1,2,or 3 pass, different inlet/outlet options. Some of them priced good too, and they offer a lifetime warranty.

EDIT: Sorry I missed the -12an

Find a radiator you like cut the outlet and inlet off plate it over add hole and weld AN fittings of your choice to it. At least that's how we generally ended up doing it at the race shop I used to work at when we needed AN fittings for the cooling system. Apples to oranges but on the high RPM gas stuff we would use -20's on the radiator.

This was my dilemma. Found good AL radiators for cheap, but if I wanted it to come with npt or jic/an fittings it tripled in cost. I could fire up the tig and try to learn how to weld aluminum inlets or spend the extra money. I did find some Griffins for cheaper after talking to them directly. I think I have all kinds of room. This one is 31x19.

The goal is to be able to hot lap the truck and drive on the street a little without worrying of overheat.

The -16 inlets could be remedied when I crimp the hose I'll use a 16-12 fitting. That way if -12 doesn't flow enough I can go to a -16 hose and drill out my engine plates larger.

This is where I'd like to vertically mount it. Between the two thru cab bars.

Thanks John, let's drop your engine in and let's go racing!!

Bearings pressed on axles. Temporarily assembled before powder coating.

Hahaha maybe. Let's see what it'll do! I run a Griffin -16 in and out on the passenger side. I built all the mounts and everything on the tanks though. Works great, street driving or racing. I'll have to measure the height and width but it's not much bigger than what you're wanting. It's 3" thick too.

I cant wait to see this thing on the track!

I bet you can learn how to weld aluminum good enough for your radiator project in about 20 minutes. If you got the tools, and can TIG steel, you will have no problem.

I remembered I had a brand new 16" Spal fan laying around. Summit shows a big cfm rating. May order something simple and build a shroud myself when I start doing the sheet metal floor.

ron davis rad's are nice however the last time I needed a radiator with AN fittings I bought the cheapest speedwaymotors inhouse brand for like 95 bucks and welded on the AN fittings (passenger side) it was pretty small too. Here is the only pic I have:

Buy the stuff you need. Send it to me. I'll weld it.on for free 99. Just send work my way and cover shipping home.
