ProStreet F-100

I was planning on waiting to update til the radiator was in, but learning to tig aluminum has been a challenge. I have some new 2% lanthanated tungsten to try now and a hand control to get used to. Has to be easier than laying under the truck while the wife runs the foot control.

Love the dent in the wall.

I figured someone would catch that eventually. We had an incident trying out the corner scales.

*whistling* I wish I had 1/4 of your skills and gumption. Damn nice.

Decided to keep the factory glove box and utilize it as an electrical access panel. Removed factory pedal assembly and d/s portion of the firewall. Figured it might be easier/cleaner to build all new when the sheetmetal work begins. Mounted the water injection cell. Steering column and QD wheel is finished minus a couple of support bars. Third time is a charm on the Scheid lines. I'm happy with how they turned out.

Everything looks beautiful.

Great progress. Everything is nicely positioned. The upper front coil mounts are neat looking. Are they cast aluminum?

I'll be removing it and tearing it down. The main beam will be powder coated charcoal gray to match the body and accenting. All the arms will be coated gloss black.

The coating turned out really nicely on my bumpers. Lots of metal flake. Picture shows a little more color difference than in real life.

Is that the rock guard coating?

I don't believe so. All I know is I handed him a couple chrome bumpers and he handed them back blasted and coated. Not a single blemish, scratch, or rock chip so far.

Bedsides are nearly mounted. There is still plenty of cutting in the future. Lightened up quite a bit, even if it is on the wrong side of the truck. Front roll pan is being test fitted. Doors are going to have to be lightened up, they weigh about double of what they need to.
