Spring Fling 2011

Here is a link to Pictures and Video's from Saturday. Sorry I was not able to make it up on Sunday to help out. If your truck was in the bay on Saturday it got at least 2 shots, I did only a few video's due to SD card space. HD video uses it up fast.

Spring Fling 2011

I had a great time as always and look forward to the next event. For me it will be The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, unless something comes up sooner.

Yep, thanks everyone, another great event. It was great to see everyone again and catch up with old friends.
See you all in the fall.

Thanks to all who participated and especially Dave Guy @ DGR and his crew for the use of his shop and dyno. They did an outstanding job as usual!

I will have the Winner and Runner up of our Charity Shootout shortly.

Thanks to all those who contributed to the Curtis Rice Memorial Shootout!

Due to your generosity, we raised $140 that will go to our continuing contributions to this Charity.

The Shootout was to have the closest guess to your actual HP.

Winner:
Chris Greene…06 Dodge…460.00/863.75 with a guess of 462 = 2 hp
Runner-up:
Lee Reiff…97 Dodge…291.17/669.71 with a guess of 285 = 6.17 hp

Congratulations! And you both will be receiving the following plaques.

On a side note:

While compiling the numbers, it was pretty clear why they call the dyno “The Humbler”!!

Of the 28 people who entered, 21 guessed more than their actual hp and only 7 guessed under. Even more interesting is the range. Of the people that guessed lower than the actual, the average guess was a difference of 18 hp. Of those that guessed over, the average was 69 hp high!! There was a handful that was over 100, even 200 hp off!!
Just thought I would pass that along ;)

sounds like I missed a good one, hope to make fall brawl...... maybe by then I'll have an answer/ chance to tune out the disturbing rattle.

Mike,

Jim has the plaques. I gave him Chris' phone number and he should be calling to find out where to send it.

907.39 Dockboy Inc. That's pretty good. :)
Must have been a dime stuck under the pedal on Saturday.

No Ted? I thought that chevy was bad? Hmmmm

My back was sore and didn't feel like dynoing. :poke: ;)
Whoever told you my truck was bad lied to you.

In all seriousness, I didn't run, nothing changed since last Fall, and the dyno was busy on Saturday, and I was busy emptying Labatt Blues all day. I'll run again at Fall Brawl.

What a great weekend. I'd like to give a huge THANKS to everyone who participated and made the show such a great success.

Thanks to Dave Guy at Dave Guy Racing and his awesome crew for keeping the trucks rolling though the dyno bay.

Thanks to all of the club officers, who did an outstanding putting this show together.

Thanks to all who made donations, and participated in the Curtis Rice Memorial Shootout.

There isn't much more I can say, other than I am already looking forward to Fall Brawl. It will be the 10th anniversary of the club, and should be the biggest and best event, yet.

Thanks to everyone involved. I had a great time. I'm already anticipating the one this fall. I'll be sure to bring my toolbox just in case something breaks
