^^^^If they admitted to it make them! ^^^^ Lesson learned be sure dowel pin is there! It's funny I never would give a second thought to it if it was missing I'd get one just because lining up the bolt holes without it sucks! But those in a hurry take short cuts that get real expensive!
 
You would also figure that a profession transmission shop would notice missing dowels and have the knowledge to replace them, nontheless know that they are a major structural component for side load stressors... Good luck.

They work. How does the snout on the torque converter look? Like is there signs of wear and what about the pump bushing ? The few I've seen missing a dowel usually burn up the bushing and blow the seal out.

Yes the snout on the TC is tore up, I'm going to need to replace it and the pump is broken and damaged along with the stator.
