Needing a little direction. I have a Heritage Seat in my Freightliner, with my short stubby legs it's uncomfortable to reach my go pedal, does anyone know where I can get a lower base. Looking for 1-2" lower.

hey rockin ya need someone local to tig you up a wire or alum frame custom pedal. wouldnt be too hard to just add and inch or 2 to it...

^^^THIS!!! I had one pass me the other day and I couldn't figure out if the exh manifold was about to fall off, he had a hole in the flex pipe, two or three bad injectors or a combination of all the above!!!!!! Fenders busted to hell and had a hell of a lean like he was missing some springs on the passenger side. It amazes me how some of these things "pass" DOT inspection. I've seen some of these things make yard jockeys look like brand new trucks!!!!!!!!!
 
I have absolutely no experience in that field. I know that ecm supports j1708 and J1939. Maybe 1587.

I do know the flash process can use 1939 because I added it to all of our bypass harnesses here in the shop.

I would love to learn the secret squirrel **** if you can give me a link.

Buy a chinese copy of tools and software for 59$ http://www.fgtech-galletto.com/

then ready made file from here for example, for about 150 $ http://www.ecufiles.com/truck-tuning-files/193-0-0-0-9/Caterpillar-Chiptuning-files.htm

then charge your customers 2000-2500 $ or whatever those bs companies are charging...

When you learn the basics try to find free hacked copy of full Winols and try to make your own mods if those ready made files are not what you want.
 
I wouldn't upload cheap tuning files using a $59 Chinese tool and software if it was my only option. Terrible idea.

They work fine. You can buy same files from PDI or others for more money if you want.

I tried a knockoff nexiq adapter once. Wouldn't connect to 70 pin c12 or 13 ecms. Wouldn't recognize the Chinese cat engineering software either. Ended up biting the bullet on a laptop with a genuine nexiq and all of the cat, cummins, and Detroit goodies. 5k obviously doesnt make sense to the occasional user but spending a few hundred somewhere other than pdi isn't bad to the guy who needs a tune. I do not use pdi for a thing.

If the Chinese route works well for you then all of the power to you.

Oh yeah, I was back out truckin that afternoon, I'm actually riding along daycab truckin 700 miles to williston to pick up some trench boxes and a D6R today......in a peterbilly.....at least its got the right color engine though.
