Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Yeah kt was later. There was something hinky about it, vin plate said it was a 352a so it might have been a cab swap, it did have an aluminum frame so the "a" was accurate. It looked right from the outside, it was an actual heavy extended hood and it had the air cylinders.

352A, that would have been a cabover at that point, though if it did say 352 and the title matched then someone used a vin plate just to be able to title the truck and use it.

The first KTs came around 74.

Guessing it's not the most road worthy truck.

Good morning everyone. I'm new on this site, but not to Cats.

I'm chasing my rear on a intermittent miss on a 3406E. It is a random miss at tip-in throttle. When the miss occurs, you receive an over-fuel condition.

Is a faulty injector harness capable of causing an over-fuel condition? I've searched on SIS but not much luck.

Thanks in advance. A ton of knowledge on this thread.

My business partners K100 he is entering in the Great Lakes Challenge in Onaway. Got it on the dyno this past weekend. Michigan CAT stopped it at 1000hp and it had a LOT more in her. Not bad for a little HX60 single.

Yeah. Hard to say what's happened to her in 50+ years. It should have been a v12 or 1693 truck, pretty late for a hall-scott and too early for a K, big al or 3408. It was a pretty neat old truck, if mine wasn't all blowed up and I had the cash I'd have jumped on it.

Didn't expect someone to mention Big Al in this thread...

Chris

No, they were early. Well, probably around still in the 70's, but most of them were earlier. They were 450hp when most were still in the 300's...and until they got their oiling issues figure out kinda got a bad reputation.

They were actually in trucks in the 50's with supercharged 375hp 844's too.

Finally someone with not oversized turbo. 81/115 class ?

A wiring issue isn't going to appear only at tip-in throttle.

This sounds like a trim code issue to me.
