Software beta testers needed for 'Anteater'

Just joined the party , my wife ordered me anteater for my birthday . I'm excited to get this going . I'm going to have firepunk build me a valve body to go with it .

Meatball, I got that ordered for you. She was nervous about getting the wrong thing for you. LOL. We got it lined out. We are hoping to have the next batch next week. The second I get one in my hands it will be out the door heading to you.

I have been playing with these more and more (because my truck has one now and from playing with the S10). The more I mess with them the more I like them. It does what it's told and it's pretty straight forward.

I hope to see these things grow into something that becomes more commonly used in trucks that don't like the OEM shift strategy and swap trucks. I think they are a very useful tool thus far for my truck and not having to run a "custom" valve body. I didn't have problems with the PCS controller when I had it, but at the same time if I had it's proprietary to Suncoast and ATS and doesn't leave you with many options.

Agree way better option having this sweet standalone setup available now. I know they will grow to be a common component for most 47/48 auto and conversion swaps. Now you just need to get the cloning machine out for A certain individual ;). I'm patiently awaiting this new batch release for a swap/conversion project also. :snoop:

Awesome. Do a before and after?
Is your current VB modded ?

My set up is kind of bastardized right now anyway . The trans was / is a full billet 24v 47re from sun coast . I had some issues with the difference in tv throw with my truck being a 12v . My local trans guy attempted to help and in doing so hurt me more . During that ordeal I had a pretty bad leak on my hot pipe that caught my harness on fire and melted everything going to the pcm . I've since installed a tdod-3 kit in it and have been running full manual ever since . It's okay but after time I realized that id rather have the trans do what it's supposed to do on it own.
My shifts with the manual set up are very harsh and hard to time correctly ,if you want a decent shift when not getting into it . I can't put my wife behind the wheel because It would require a written manual on when to shift and when to hit what switch and why . I first heard about anteater through comp a while ago and it's perfect for my situation and I love the tuning capabilities it offers . For someone in a situation similar to mine it sounds perfect .

Thanks for the help im excited to get it in and running!!!
I'm going to contact firepunk and have the valvebody built . she had mentioned she wanted to do that but had no idea what I wanted , probably a good thing .
As mentioned above with my current situation I want a fresh clean start with a valve body built for this system .
I was looking into pcs and sun coast before I heard of anteater . The minute I read into my mind was made up . Everything seems user friendly and easy . I told my best friend about it , he's been pushing me to get it for a while now . The wife got in touch with him for ideas on a gift and he steered her in the right direction !

Thanks again!!

Are you able to fine tune pressure's similar to the PCS to smooth out shifts at light throttle? Or are the shifts pretty harsh all the time with the TV lever tied back? I am currently swapping a 48 into my 4th gen and so far what I've read on the anteater it looks like the way to go.

What transmission did you take out?

I'm suspicious that tuning the blocks vs throttle input might let you do this. Mine shifts harshly most of the time, but I don't have a TPS installed.

The user interface is just a proof of concept using some off the self parts and lots of repurposed code.
It's a PITA to drive sometimes, but also handy. Get in, wave the phone over an NFC tag, it connects via Bluetooth, set OD status and a tune, and take off.

I would like to hear feedback on what the users or potential buyer rs want to be able to see or do from the "remote" though.

I took the wife on a cruise in mine earlier, I have one tune that doesn't shift harshly. I can unhook the TV and run it tied for comparison if you would like?

Are you currently running a TV cable or have the lever tied back? Since on mine I'll have to run it tied back(no cable) it just had me worried shifts would be harsh constantly, but if able to adjust thru tuning to get smoother shifts while on the street it will work perfectly for me.

I have one, but I will tie it and see if I can tune around it in order to give you a fair idea.
