well finally its going together starting today.. so here are some pictures to go along with it..
the short block:
2001 marine storm block, .020 over with commercial bigger bowl pistons, .oo8 piston to wall, .150 valve reliefs, .017 potrusion, standard bearings, cummins block stiffener, arp rod bolts.

hamilton head; decked .060 to unshroud the valves some, back cut the valves to help low lift flow, hami springs set to 180psi at the seat and 380 over the nose.. these are some of the bare head pictures..

ill get some more tomorrow as things come together.. and for the next few days as it gets running..
 
thanks guys, the motor is about 85% together as you will see.. i gotta thank Drake for letting me use his tools and shop and Jimmy from alc machine for all the machine work and helping me put the short block together right... and folks like Ed, and Kevin and Gary and Zach, and Ron and Brad and Scott and all you guys that have helped in some way..
here are some more pictures, ill try and get some more as its painted and installed and plumbed in the truck over the next couple days.

well if you want them let me know im getting a keating cover soon..
i have 625's at 150 ft/lbs and thats where it was deck plate bored to..
trying to do everything right as i can afford.. always wish we could do more.. i would like to have started with a cr block.. i dont want to think about next time but maybe next motor i build... LOL
 
Lookin good. What charger and fuel setup did you decide to go with?

i bought a 913 pump from Gary and had Kevin max it, min i flowed 260 and maxed it went 680 and for every day he has it set to 450.. i got some ddp4+'s from Colin that neither of us is sure of the difference from regular 4's other than the screen being removed.
for air i am using my 66/71/12 pius modified super b special over the forced 491 but im going to a t4 manifold and a gated t4/t3 adaptor going back into the hot pipe between stages to drive the 91 a bit harder. also i am going to water to air (frozen boost type 3) between stages and back throught the hypermax 4" for total boost that was already in the truck before. also its worth mention im using the engine coolant for now for the water to air and later i think ill go with a dedicated radiator for that to get an even cooler charge between the stages.. one step at a time.
