NHRDA - Desert Diesel Nationals March 12th

New convertor set up is in, wire up the lock up switch, adjust the shifter linkage and good to go....no room for testing in -30 and 3 feet of snow and the 80' long shop just aint going to cut it...so here is hoping the new set up works lol...should be a good weekend...

80' shop would be perfect the way i see it to test your 60' times. 17 feet of truck plus 60' of test room!!! The only thing that might get interesting is getting it stopped after you get out the door....but thats what the 3' of snow should be good for:poke:

Lol yeah your about right...but instead we threw the switch for the lock up at idle killed the motor guess that worked...did a burnout...loaded her up to 50 a few times...no leaks....now just leave it alone lol so nothing breaks before it goes on the trailer Wed morning to head south...

I don't think were gonna make it, motor is going to machine shop this week... Really wanted to make the event but truck is nowhere near being done!

well, we leave thursday for phoenix, and we pulled the tranny out of the truck today, TQ has to be torn apart and the pump monday, and rebuilt.... its going to be down to the wire yet again!

Great how we all put them away in the fall, then thrash like hell right before the first event....man everything takes longer than expected. This fall I'm going to start right in on the truck, at least I can say that now.

will you have max'd out ready or what

Rob will be there with Max'd Out has been working on it night and day for the past 3 days or so. Going to run 11.90 and brackets with it

Engine just fired up and sounds decent. Need to put the front of the truck(radiator/intercooler/etc.) back on and test pressures on the tranny and finish some loose ends.

Wife is having shoulder surgery tomorrow. Cutting it close, but feeling good about it.

So i guess he is going to load his "Tow" tune in it for the 11.90 index class??LOL

Damn thing won't even run 11's with the smallest tune I've made, oh yeah unless Ken is driving and doing 300' 4x4 burnouts.

Just wondering if the LBZ tow rig can survive a day of 11.90 class rounds with the stock engine and still pull the 18k trailer home.

Go big or go home!!!!:cheer::nos:

So, are you guys going to let me enter the burn-out contest with my Junker Drag Truck?

I've got a set of 285 BFG's that are due for the "treatment". They have lots of tread but have a few cracks, I'm thinking I can blow them up in the allotted 30 seconds, just need someone to bring some tire chalks so I can spin them at 130 MPH and not smoke the rear brakes.

First of all, if you have any concerns of tires blowing out, make sure to let everyone involved know that its a possibility. Safety of everyone working the event is priority!!! A blown tire can kill someone!

Secondly, no tire chocks are allowed. All of our burnout competitions are 100% run what you brung with no assistance.
