$30 per head, per day SDX 2011.

I just hope that we don't have to do any major wrenching to be able to make passes at an event. LOL And Travis, your avatar disappoints me. Where's the good ones at? LOL

Remembering a friend. Don't worry. She will be back.

Is this a 1/4 mile track or 1/8 mile, and how strict are they at tech? I’m thinking on going but no sure if I should just go in the show n shine or race my truck. I run high 10’s in the 1/4 mile but I don’t have a roll bar.

I think its a little faster than 7.35 quite a few 7.00 last year that were not caged. But yeah if you're down in the 6's pretty sure you gonna need it caged

Personally, I'd rather see an increase in gate price, and then a decrease in registration fees for competitors. Take from ones who don't compete, add to the purse for those that do. Lower registration fees, and higher purses will always attract more competition. I don't care how much it costs to get in...which follows my ritual of only going to bars that have dress codes and charge admission...less idiots, more class.

I'll be making it in my 1st gen. It's only 750 miles for me. I don't mind the extra cost if it keeps the idiots from doing donuts in the parking lot around my truck.

There was a truck full of kids doing donuts for almost and hour last year. I think they finally ran out of gas.

I would like to see more room in the stands, but what the hell, I've seen worse that cost more.

I'm new to this sight, maybe I'll be able to meet some of you guys while I'm up there.

All I gotta say is that I am SOOOOOO excited for SDX, the drive and money will be worth it to see everyone and go to an event that I have never been too! It can hurry up now.....

I agree, it can't get here fast enough. I don't think you'll be disappointed...SDX is THE event of the year (at least for me).

As for the fee increase...

Maybe my math is incorrect, but last year it was $25 to park the truck (we split it among all of us in the truck-say $5), then it was $17 and $19 (my memory is fuzzy) for entrance fees to the stands. That is, at the most, an $8 increase for the event...

Won't be able to split it between the truck. Doesn't matter if one or ten per truck thirty bucks per person a day. So $3 savings for one person for two days. $21 increase for two people. Figure that up for your truck load of five.

Yeah, that's where I seem to be missing your point.

Last year we split the parking fee ($5/person for a round number) and then we each paid our event fee ($17 for one and $19 for the other- iirc). That still leads me to a total event increase of (at the most) $19 ($11 on Saturday and $8 on Friday) because last year's parking pass was for the whole weekend. The only remaining variable (for me) was the separate fees for the two events both Friday and Saturday (since it rained Friday)...if I could remember what they were it may be cheaper this year, or at the least very close.

There is no parking fee this year. If you have five people in your truck it's a $150 a day to get in the gate which also gets in the pulls.

so $17 a piece for the pulls = $85 (for 5 people) plus $25 parking = $110 for everyone, = $22 a piece total for last year, this year it's a flat rate of $30 a head. Increase of $8. I better go take out a second mortgage for that 8 bucks lmfao

And if it rains as soon as you get in the lot you only spent five bucks in your scenario last year compared to thirty this year.

Or if you want to visit the vendors and the show and shine

Or if the stands are full

Etc etc etc

so $17 a piece for the pulls = $85 (for 5 people) plus $25 parking = $110 for everyone, = $22 a piece total for last year, this year it's a flat rate of $30 a head. Increase of $8. I better go take out a second mortgage for that 8 bucks lmfao

So someone else sees my logic...

When you factor in the fact there is not a parking fee, the increase does not seem that substantial.
