Truckers, lets see your rigs!

wow.......................just wow

Oh just wait. I’m sure one of the next loads will have a truck with air tabs so that alone will help with mileage. Got a concrete mixer and a vacuum truck for the RGN so he’s having 4” side skirts made for the trailer, doing a Kevin Rutherford 10spd and 2.64 gears right now.

Maybe Leiffi can help me out. I want to know which model Scania this is. I desperately want to order one but I need this exact model because the aftermarket for custom bad arse trinkets is on point. Gonna be the coolest ride in the US!

Ashland KY to Davenport FL, 1001mi 4.63mpg 75mph @ 76,000 up Jellico Mt passing everything in sight with the exhaust as cool as the other side of the pillow.

But remember kids “single turbos are better”. I lost count at all the 1000hp Volvo’s and Scanias that passed me in the hills.

84k+ 4.16 mpg right on my bumper. Almost started a fire when he threw the old pages out of his elog in the trash can. Things can be dangerous.

Hoping by next year we can all finally afford to ride in style in a European cabover with a 100” wheelbase with V8 powa!

Bet on the way back we got 3mpg empty drag racing. No better tax deduction than buying diesel fuel. Lol

Edit: guess since we were all 3 hauling Macks, that would be probably first time in history a Volvo climbed a mountain without the 4 ways on! Leiffi can pretend it wasn’t on the back of a Caterpillar.
Is the south side of the Mt still exploded? The concrete divider is being built out of mud for some reason. Every time they moved the slip form the walls would collapse.

R580 like it says on the side of cab. Spoiled with too much stainless italian style. With software only it beats your Cat in every hill.

m dad was a steelhauler in a diamond t..reo? back in the 50's. then kenworths til the 80's..always a cabover with a flatbed trlr

My grandpa hauled milk his entire life with cabovers of every flavor, dad had a few cabovers when he hauled meat for IBP otherwise he had Petes with a livestock trailer.

My grandfather started after WW2, tipper truck in local traffic. My father started international trucking in -68 I think, he was in a group of trucks that did first trip from our country to Tehran Iran in winter 74/75, later he did also Tunis, one of the first ones also. Those were pioneering times in european trucking. My career has been much less interesting.

1) Fire your accountant

2) if this trucking thing doesn't work out for you I suggest comedy you're clearly good at it

I don’t have an accountant, don’t need one when you don’t make enough money to pay taxes.

Boy I hope so, thing is going to be sweet. Can I get it like 4’ shorter? Do I need to hang weights on the back so it doesn’t flop on its nose when I stop bobtail? I hope it only comes with an automatic trans because I can’t tie my shoes due to a head injury and can’t be bothered to shift gears AND keep my helmet on straight.

It’s too bad really these things are so amazing that they don’t sell them here. But I understand the US is such a tiny market for trucks it’s probably not worth it.

hey whos dad on here was a trucker before them? or grandfather?

Been at this for 3 weeks, first two was with my trainer. I’ve almost made an entire trip without crashing so I’m almost a trainer myself. I lease purchased this Scania and I’ve only got 7 more years and this thing is mine!

All you idiots with your motor out front have a lot to learn. My trainer Ferdinand said cabover are the best and he’s the smartest truckdriver I know because he’s European.

No but you can get it as long as you want, you can also get 1.5 meter longer cab. Manual or automated manual with or without clutch, or Allison 7 speed, but with reduced torque.

They make so much money that it is yours in 5 years or maybe less if you have good business. Leased trucks are changed after 3 years.

In all seriousness....

Is that 471f max your turbo outlet temp?

What are your post turbo temps?

471 is the hot side of charge air cooler and 113 is the cold side. Ambient air temp was in the mid 30’s to low 40’s. When the air enters the head it’s about 20* hotter than the CAC outlet measurement.

Gauge was reset at the bottom of the hill and pic was taken at the top.

I have 2 more pyro’s. A single gauge In the manifold collector and another between the turbos and they read identical to each other.

This is an 800hp 5EK 3406E with Acert twins. His air temp sensors are switched which annoys me and he has a stock replacement CAC in a FL Classic XL.
