heck, I went from a 6.9 330' to a 6.0 330 with just figuring out part of the launch technique.

If a 1.8 is possible based on Cummin Get Some's 60'. Then a 12.5 is possible with what ever Cummin Get Some does to get moving. I'm running what 6mph faster in the traps then he is. I have more power, just lack the technique right now. I'll figure it out. :)

On my 12.9 run I had 285s on it I ran a 13.4 with my 35/13.50/18s I don't really think the smaller tires helped much though doesn't seem any faster on the street with smaller tires...just spins more. 3rd gear launches. I think my MPH was low because I smacked the rev limiter, 4100 RPM or so, in 5th about 100' from the finish line.

But this is an "atta bot thread"... Caleb broke the record for the fastest manual diesel truck, this is the thread for people to comment on and congratulate him. I agree with Ryan that if you'll are gonna argue and bicker take it to a different thread...not this one!

The thing I find so funny is that Jeff Prince has held the record for what? 5 years? That was with a 2wd dually 5 speed manual.
When I talked to him, he said the truck had an 11s pass in it if he could keep a trans and a clutch together long enough.

Those ZF6 trans seem to be 100x better than the NV trans.

Thanx Tony, Yeah Jeff held it for a long time, I was after the title, but more so just after 11's, I wont say i have the record because there my be some one out there that has run faster that no one knows about, doubtful but possiable! Jeff was on top, when you on top someone is always aiming at you, someone will now be aiming at me, im cool with that if they ask ill even help them out in their quest, that just the way i am. As for the ZF's yea they are quite beefy inside, but a real mother to work on, Syncros seem to be the week link, I replaced my input shaft only becaust it was peckerd up where the clutch disk rode, and putting in a new tripple i didnt want to chance it screwing up!

You will be one of the fast ones gus, only ever racing twice now and allready pulling off a 12.9, you got ar bud!

As for all this other nonsense, I will help any one out the best i can, When some one in a heavy stick truck runs fast, im always one of the first to say congrats, it think waht they are doing is great. If some of ya cant be that way, dont post here, If you dont agree with what im doing, dont listen to it! My truck is light for a truck but heavier than any car and even a few trucks im sure, dodge makes regular cabs, Jeff Princes truck was a reg cab, go buy one or quite you belly achin.

Some one here on comp d has the perfect saying in their sig, i beleive it is Teddy Bear, it says, Run your truck not your mouth!

funny, I'm in 6th before the 8th, well definitly way before the 1/4

your not grabbing gears at 3200 are ya? Last year shifting at 3500 proved to be counter productive

Its a 8 button per side trip, if i didnt know i put a trip in it is no differnt then the dual other than its smother pulling out in third on the street, just driving, the dual was to jerkey to do that!!

Cam profile and turbo size and flow makes a difference here, with big single i had to run to 4k on shifts, wiht the twins using a stocker on top i went faster shifting @ 33~3500. Im still running a stock cam.
 
I dont know if its special or not, I call peter to rebuild my dual and said i wanna race with it, he said ill send you a trip to try!

ZF's rock:rockwoot:, IMHO they're the best manual tranny going, and will probably be the last(dang ford and chevy, I'm waiting for dodge next). Standard trannys in pickups are going to be considered antiques pretty soon:(

Not to bust the bubble, but doesn't Jeff Prince still have the fastest time at 12.1 and 119mph?

I'm not sure if it's 12.10 or what? Does anyone know? I'm not trying to start a pissing match here.
