    Fly cutting Pistons

    Is it ok to cut just the exhaust side? All the aftermarket pistons I see look cut on the intake and exhaust side. Just trying to figure out why they would do that since there's no intake valve clearance problems on say a 194/220 in a commonrail.

    Will a 48re stock/OEM stator hold up in a triple disc converter at 1k whp? Odd question I know, but i need to find out if it has to be a machined billet stator or if the oem stator unmolested unit is plenty strong. Thanks!
