1.1 vs 1.32a/r

Little update. Purchased a 60/68/.91a/r and the billet s478/92/1.1 with a race cover. Decided to build my own piping. Using all stainless 304 pipes and flanges. Started it a couple weeks ago. Its coming along slow but should fit perfect when all is done. Only thing left to fab is the mount for the external gate(Tial 44m) and where to dump it. Leaning towards routing it to the hot pipe to help keep the primary spooled on the street. Still open to input on this decision. Any way heres a few pics of where it stands now. When completed it will all get polished, exhaust housing will get ceramic coated etc..

Which exhaust manifold is that and what adapter are you running between the manifold and the primary turbo ?

That is a 5.9, right ? Any idea how much higher is the primary turbo going to be than the valve cover ?

That is nice, clean piping if it will fit in the truck. Good work. Where did you get your elbows from ? What radius are they ?

Stainless Diesel t4 manifold and gate spacer. Yes, it's a 5.9. Everything will fit fine. The pipe came from Burns Stainless. Hot and cold pipe are 3.5" on a 3.5" bend radius. Flanges and odds and ends came from Race Parts Solutions, Himni Racing and Verocious Motorsports

How high is the secondary turbo above the head ? I'm wondering if I could make use of a similar setup.

Thanks joesixpack and howling. None of the credit goes to me. I have the idea, my friend makes it reality. He does this stuff for a living daily with NASCAR related parts.
Me2, I won't know the valve cover clearance till its in the truck. Its nothing special. A t4 manifold flipped. Will be the same as any other kit.

I understand that. How much higher does the turbocharger sit (stick up) than the top of the head or the valve cover ?

I'm trying to figure out how much taller that turbo setup makes the engine. Does that make sense ?

I took some measurements and forgot them.:nail: Was checking hood clearance with the wastegate mounted and there is plenty of room. Is no higher than the ATS intake horn. Are you wanting to put this in something other than a Dodge? If not there are no clearance issues. Heres a few more pics from this week end. Decided on dumping the wastegate into the hotpipe. Should work fine for my use.

The picture is making it look worse than it is. This is the Stainless Diesel plate. I've seen ED's and they are the same. I will admit that the Steed manny is a nicer piece for the external gates. At one point I contemplated machining the SD manifold to install a similar port and still haven't ruled it out before this project is done. :)

Great looking build and very nice fab work. It looks wicked right now, it will be complete diesel porn when it's finished. I'm very interested in that charger combination, I have been contemplating using those chargers together over the last few months. I'm very interested in how they perform for you.
 
Looks great Homewrecker. I'm contemplating swapping to a 60/68/.91 for my secondary as well. Let us know how it spools over that 478.
