Deranged The rebuild begins, at Texas Diesel Power!

WTF, Dog do you have in this hunt. You act like you own everyone chit!! You running your dick lickers is getting old.

Look at the seat in that truck, it's set up for a large guy. His dog is his ass in the seat. It's also set up for me to drive it, but it's the comp d truck, so you never know who's gonna be in it.

Maybe your bullchit is just getting old. My chit has had drag radials on it for awhile, just some old junk Hooiser i bough used. And yes it is a pile of parts!!! Old ones at that. But it still won't be a problem. Maybe one day you will grow up and act more like a man. If you want to help people great. I love to be around people that know more then me so i can learn. But i don't ever act like i know it all.

I've been racing since I was 16...that was 24 years ago.
I've run as quick as mid 8's as far back as the early 90's.
I'm lucky enough to work on one of the fastest 10.5 cars in the world...one of only 3 10.5 cars to have ever run a 3 second 1/8th.
I'm also lucky enough to have learned a LOT over the years about every aspect of setting a car up...and if I don't know something I know someone that does. When we run into an issue with the XTF car...we call Jerry Haas. It doesn't get much better than that.
If me having some experience on the subject pisses you off...then you may need to learn how to relax a little more. If you think shooting your mouth off about bolting on some drag radials is gonna scare me off...then you must be new.
Again...whatcha wanna run with ? Lets talk about this since you brought it up.

If it's that 12.43 @ 106 in your sig pic....I've run faster than that in my black truck on freakin 22" street tires.

I don't doubt you have picked up something over your years of racing. That is great!!!! Talking to you is like talking to a wall though. And yeah that is the junk i am talking about. When was it your truck ran that fast on 22's. Its all good i will line up with you one day if you want. I am not scared and maybe i can learn something while i am at it!!! Good Night!!!

It ran 112.2 out the back right after it was finished....2 years ago...just like it sits right now.

Talking to me is like talking to a wall ? Show me one single person I've ever steered wrong. I may come off harsh....but I may also know WTF I'm talking about. If I don't know what I'm talking about...I don't respond.

Good Luck Tim

Be patient, it's very rare that you bolt things like this together and they are fast right off the trailer.
Remember it's better to lift and try again later than destroy it on one hail mary pass.

I'm not sure Kevin is aware of this thread. I'll see about getting a video link once it's been uploaded.

**EDIT, found video.

Several different things going on in the video.

Video starts just after getting the truck to re-fire, stalled after the burnout. Should be nothing more than a tuning issue with the new injectors?

This was the first ever launch after the pinion brake install, we bled the brakes for the first time just minutes before. Tim said the pedal stayed on the floor after removing his foot, then slowly came back up. The truck did a 2.35 60'.

Once the pedal returned the turbos lit and he started to MPH from what I could see and hear through the smoke being behind him. Then I heard a dry tire spin on the big end, and watched the tail lights wag into the left lane. Tim saved it, and the track was shut down temporarily to clean up some fluid.

IIRC the truck did

2.35 60'
66 MPH 330'
68 MPH 1/8'

9.8X ET

It was the only run of the night, 20 minutes before the track closed. Loaded up, and off to TS, where it can be tweaked with patience and experience.

Good Luck Tim! Catch y'all at the next one.

BTW the fat bastard in the grey shirt in the staging lanes is my BFF Roscoe. I love you man.

Are you saying that is good or bad? I didn't think it was to bad for its first hit off the trailer.

no, thats not bad at all especially considering the 60', 333', and 1/8. gotta some major ponies to pick up on the big end like that.

out first run off the trailer was a 20.xx. like i said lots of bugs to work out. getting the brakes bleed was one, tires were another. i am running a 33x12.50w mickey thompson, on a 15x12 weld wheel, and AB was right we had problems getting the street slicks to hookup. not saying there bad, but just not what is best for this truck. all i did was get the new tires and there was a crazy good difference. and yes i have listened to doug and others about setting up the 4 link and other stuff. lots of changes have been made since we started , not all at once. little changes. each time we go to the track we keep a notebook of what we have done to see if it has worked or not. we usually only change 1 or 2 things at a time. some things worked and some things didnt. we are not going to make it to TS. deranged and fcdp will meet at a later date.
