Diesel Power Challenge 2015 Coverage and Discussion

I would have been upset too if a little tirespin had kept me from defeating the returning champ in the first round! People are just competitive.

I'm more logical than competitive, like I said just my interpretation lol. To me if you're at the same track, same time and lose there's no room to ***** short of something in staging getting screwed up. Even if you have tire spin, that's related to your setup and driving. If the other, more powerful truck doesn't spin and wins, its setup and driver simply outperformed you

Maybe they should have invested some time into building a similar suspension set up like Lavon. his upper and lower traction bars/links look like they are really working. He was super flat on the take off on both the trailer and regular race.

The way the seeding was yesterday was not fair. They did 1v6 2v7 3v8 4v9 5v10 instead of 1v10 2v9 etc. We came to an agreement that yesterday's racing will be thrown out except that the ones that made passes can use they're time as their qualifying pass. Everyone gets one quualifying pass this morning then going into a properly seeded eliminations. The bad news is its cold and damp so we'll see what happens.

^ good to hear.

Jesse is usually on slicks when he runs that truck so traction isn't an issue

Obviously lavons experience from last year having to race on an A/T came into play so he has a superior suspension setup.

Either way I'm admittedly a little giddy that a 6.0 is running neck and neck with lavon in the mountains :evil

Is that a monster pump truck?

My buddy's 24v has the tame monster pump and that thing fuels so damn hard. I think it could be done, but there's too many options and mike can be so hard to get a hold of people just don't bother lol.

I do not think I can be done. Simply do not...
Vp's simply don't stand a chance against the caliber of trucks now days.

That's fine, it's not a hill I'm willing to die on.

Although I said that about 6.0's not too long ago and I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one surprised by their performance thus far.

What happened to Chomos' truck? Looks like mid to low pack finishes so far

VP pumps just struggle so hard to move fuel at RPM. Just like VEs, rotary pumps are limited
