Truckers, lets see your rigs!

In his “4 years of being there no one had ever asked for that, and everything for those old trucks (86 W900) is on Microfish”

Just be ready to have that be a constant battle if you're going to run an old truck. Whenever I go to the local pete dealer looking for parts for my 76 I feel like they would rather be dead than help me find what I need.

Tractor would weigh roughly 10K before that auger contraption on it, unless the tires are loaded.

Hell, your trailer is a bunch lighter than ours, you're good....Going far?

Find a different dealer, all that information is still available. I just got a build sheet for a 77 and it has the GVWR in it.

KW of Nashville TN
KW of Bowling Greeb Ky
FITZGERALD of Crossville TN
D&B of Glasgow Ky

No one can help me so far the glider companies say it isn’t theirs but the owner says it’s a glider truck.
The KW dealers say it’s mircofish only and they can’t find GVWR documentation.

86 KW W900

I’m only borrowing it for my road test, some long time family friends own it so I’m doing the legwork to get the paperwork to be nice.

I used to work in a John Deere dealer so I can understand and respect the time and effort it requires on old equipment.

The Nashville monkey just didn’t seem like he wanted to help BG KY tried decently to help me but said all he had to go on was micro fish and he couldn’t find it.

Plus wide load which I don't mess with

So... eld guy... tell me... how pricked am I?
Woke up at 6am Eastern yesterday, got to bed at 1:30 am eastern this morning. Drove 633 miles.
Come do my job and see how long your truck stays hired.

I won’t even tell you about today. Your mind calculator would likely explode.

Ohhh I feel your pain. They are by far the worst trucks on the road. Expensive parts, impossible to work on, zero resale valve. The entire company needs to go away.

Idiots ran the truck 10hrs with no oil. It went to another dealer for repair. That dealer told them to pound sand.
We had a service agreement with the customer for PM'S that was automated based on telematics. The telemetry hadn't reported since some time this summer, which means an oil change was never performed.
Somehow that translates into dealer participation because our corporate sales is foaming at the mouth to sell these idiots western star dump trucks.

So, I'm fixing a blown engine on what amounts to a trade-in on a vehicle no-one in North America will buy.

The pay would be OK if I felt like I was actually helping someone.

OMG. That truck is worth less than what it weighs even if it was running. If the dealer wanted to sell them trucks take that one on trade and auction it.

I bet they cringe when you call. You ever call about something normal?

Never, guys email ends with paccar, I don’t rely on dealers for that, but the guy that moved from chilli to Youngstown when chilli changed hands could find anything I needed for the old trucks.

Any guesses on what this is? I always assumed it was a stock B turbo but its much different than the verified stock one i have. 76mm on the compressor.

Yes, it will not show a GVWR being a GL unless it was shipped as a roller.

You would need to find out rear axle rating and then see if one of those dealers can print a replacement sticker with the ratings on it.

The 85 K100 we have was a glider, the weight information was blank in the build sheet.
