Efi live update

Maybe i missed it, but what will this cost?

I have an update on pricing.

Our licensing model is to change shortly to align with the changes that supporting multiple manufacturers brings. When Cummins support is released customers will be able to purchase the 'Chrysler Cummins Diesel Tuning Add-On' which will cost US$399. There will also be a 'GM Tuning Add-On' product to cover the existing GM support, also priced at US$399.

Existing customers FlashScan V2 cables already include the 'GM Tuning Add-On' because that's all we support right now. New customers will have the option to choose which (or both) tuning support they wish to activate on the FlashScan V2 interface.

To tune a Cummins, you'll need FlashScan V2, currently $399, and the Cummins license $399.

To tune both Cummins and GM, you'll need FlashScan V2 and both licenses.

You'll be able to tune 2 vehicles out of the box, and purchase VIN licenses to tune additonal vehicles for $99.00. Currently FlashScan V2 can hold 221 licenses.

Cheers

300 hp gains are childs play for efi if your truck has the supporting parts. You Dodge boys are gonna f##k some **** up if your not careful.

no diff. then when efi came out for duramaxs and u guys were blowing **** up.. I would say any guy who knows how to tune a dmax will be just fine with a cummins.. esp. since we can already pull logs of a cummins with a good box.. that could be a starting map! then go from there.. but I would say we dont need much more tuning then a smarty with tnt/r to beat u guys...bif

Many people here including myself are greatly anticipating this release.

Two questions...
1) Any remote possibility this new release will support a VGT, [on '03 5.9 CR for example] meaning would OEM hardware/software coupled with your product work as the control unit for the VGT?

2) Do you have respective, updated product & purchase information for your website coming soon?

Thank you,
CP

HP isn't what necessarily what wins sledpulling as I can gather. Way too many factors change outcomes on dirt.

ET and/or MPH and Dyno are the only somewhat reproducible methods to determining hp gains from tuning.

If it's controlled by the ECM - the answer is Yes most likely. Just remember this first release is 06-07 5.9L vehicles followed by 6.7L support. I doubt we'll get the chance to look at 03-05 ECM's in any detail in the first few months of 2011, so it's still away off at this point.

We will update our website with pricing as we move closer to a product release. At this point of time we don't actually have a product to sell for Cummins, and we are one of those rare companies that refuse to sell a product before the product actually exists.

Given that we are located in and ship from New Zealand, we actually recommend that when the time does come that our customers contact an EFILive reseller in their own Country/region. These resellers will have stock in advance of our software release. There are a few advantages in doing this.
1. You'll have the support from a business located in a similar time zone to yourself. (It's 8pm Monday night in my time zone, and 10pm Monday night in our support office in NZ)
2. If you purchase direct from us you'll most likely be hit with import duties; a cost that you won't see if you purchase from within your own country.
3. Most of our resellers offer starter tunes to give you a helping hand in getting started with self tuning. We are computer programmers, not vehicle tuners, so don't have the expertize to provide you with these.

Hope this helps

I deleted some posts in this thread. Lets keep this one on topic
Thank you.

Keeping this thread on topic.....I did a quick count today of the tuning parameters for 06-07 5.9L Cummins support before it hits beta and decided to stop counting at 100 :)

In 2006 Dodge had a 06 and a 06.5 version. Is the first EFI that's going to be released only for the 06.5-07 then?

I would like to second Howling's question. Will the efi live work on the early 06 models? aka pre CAN BUS systems. Thanks Jay

how can you tell the difference between the two 06s other than the build date? Especially because my 06 is a 12/05 build :-(.

Not to hijack - but is there a way to convert over to a can ecm? I tried searching but did not find anything.
