high hp vp street truck?

This is what I'm talking about. Lift is pintle work, is there another kind of pintle work? And Mike doesn't do near as much to the needles when compared to Scheid or Columbus, and not nearly as much lift as Hart's, so what is "a lot"?

So when you took his billet top feeds apart how did your edm'd Bosch nozzles compare?

I agree they work well, I actually never said they didn't. I think Mike has success for a few reasons; he keeps the orifice sizing appropriate, and often practical needle modifications yeild the best results. Seems like you can never call something what it really is without someone getting their feelings hurt.

Nobody ever said his injectors had magic ferry dust on them that made a million hp and helped fixed everything bad in the world. Quit exaggerating. Mike likes his pumps to be run with his injectors. They seem to work better that way for whatever reason. That's all I said and you got your feelings hurt because I didn't tell the op to buy sdx injectors. I never said anything bad about sdx. I just don't like mismatching brands so if mike says use my injectors with my pump, I will.

Mikes injectors are solid I went 10.60's on fuel using all of mikes parts from fuel to transmission

I don't think anyone is saying otherwise. For some reason I think most are under the impression that smokem is bad mouthing mikes products, which in fact, I think he is just being a realist and stating they aren't the super-top secret-alien designed-best product ever created next to grape jelly- injector that someone eluded to them being.

This thread went off course fast....

For those of you questioning what Weston knows I invite you to read through some of these. He is quite a bit more knowledgable than most. Most of the great stuff was taken down but I dare you to find a guy that will tell you as much about what he sells as he does. I don't even run a single part he has touched yet he has helped me through PM's.

Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together

agreed a 100%. weston has gone true some of mike's injectors but has mike gone true a set of weston injectors?

Where did I mention top feed injectors?

I never exaggerated. I never got my feelings hurt. And what does SDX have to do with this? I speak for myself, from what I have done, seems like you don't.

This thread went off coarse because of Weston's bold statements... And grape jelly sucks, mikes injectors are way better!LOL

Why would Mike give a sh!t about Weston's injectors? His make more power.

And i highly doubt Weston has taken mikes billet top feeds apart or he wouldn't make such bold statements about mikes injectors not being anything special.

As far as I know, I don't believe Adam is running monster mikes injectors... I used monster mikes injectors. I wasn't impressed by them. Had a set of 6x16s made, and made quite a bit more power.. And the reason his aren't in mine is because they were smokey compared to the set im using now, and I keep breaking transmissions, so I haven't been back on a dyno in a long time.. Had a bottle I was going to hook up, but here I am trying to keep a trans under the truck... LOL

Adam is running his injectors. We have tried alot of injectors and end up with mikes. They work well #2only and with nitrous.
I want to see these "fuel only" numbers on dunbars.....then there will be no disputing....
Adam has et and mph to back up his fuel only numbers
Yeah :badidea:.... It probably wouldnt be a wise choice to get in a pissing match with Weston about injectors or pintle work for that matter..... if there is one thing he knows, its injectors and how to make power with them

:lolly:

The top feed holders were not mentioned, but I agree it is a neat setup, probably not needed for a VP, but regardless.

I'm sure after reading your in depth knowledgeable accounts, Ron will now be contacting you.

Here is a little info for the people who are interested and haters alike;

Nozzle 3
standard w/0.030" lift - 970cc/30sec or 1.94LPM
0.050" removed tip end w/0.030" lift - 970cc/30sec or 1.94LPM

Nozzle 4
0.050" removed tip end w/0.011" lift - 970cc/30sec or 1.94LPM

See a pattern?

If I remember right Ron did his own injectors with some of your advice. I did my own thing on my injectors. I have seen enough trucks to see how well your injectors don't work. Im not even going to waste time getting into a argument with you. I have better things to do.

I understand Brett lost hp going to a 145° VCO from a 155° sac type, makes sense, even though they didn't come from me. It's simple, since things I'm involved with don't work, it should be easy for you to make more hp than Ron or go quicker than Cole.

Maybe Ill put my motor in a truck that is 2k lighter then spray it, or maybe put a 13mm pump and 5k worth of ball bearing twins. Mitch's truck with your injectors worked really well.....

Mitch's truck? Last minute on a completely unknown setup and that is what you are basing this on? Tell you what Chad, I'll PM him a link to this thread.

I have an idea..... Let mike build me a new set of 7x.012"... Since thats what I currently have, and I'll dyno back to back against Westons.....and I'll send them back after the fact....

It really doesnt matter though, I ran 2 sets of 7x.010" at the track.... one being a JL and the other Westons... and I picked up a consistant .04 and 7mph.... same night, same conditions

Not to mention cleaner, quieter, crisper injector.... whether they made a higher dyno number is irrelevant, they flat out work for me

chad you know im all for everything you guys do and have proven but i got a set of westons 5x.012 and i honestly was impressed. not near as smokey as i was expecting and no gain in egt's power levels were up a lot too... that reminds me i need to head up to concord and get on the dyno. i still have my stock injectors and would like to do a before and after run with them.

Brad, were those the 7x0.10's that you sold to Scott that I ended up with?

People will have success with something others may not, that is a given. The thing that needs to be present is facts, no hype, no gimmicks, just call something what it is. This helps everyone gain an understanding of what works and what does not. But often topics like this are sidetracked with internet chatter.

i agree with you.

this is one reason i decided to post up a little about my setup, and the fact that one injector worked better than the other in my setup...

my main point was to let to OP know that there is more than one option out there, and the more info you have in front of you, the better choice you can make, and the more money you can save in the long run..
