Track tonight

:lolly: run it crippled haha thanks man. Yeah I feel great with the truck only getting faster and faster. Going from a 15.7 first time out to a 12.9 is sweet lol

Still not the time im shooting for but i have until october 10, which is the last test and tune.

Well if your AFC spring is limiting your fuel (like mine is) your leaving some power on the table. I went from a stock stretched 180 spring to a 180 gov spring and thought it was full forward at 50psi :umno:. Its clean as a blue tec benz WFO with the stock stretched spring it would still pour smoke wide open at 50psi. I dont have enough air for this fuel but you will benefit from more fuel for sure.

well it has no afc and no plate right now. just a block off plate for the afc.

Im think its around 22-24* lol

Well this is the thing... The guy i bought it from really didnt know what it was at. he thought it was 16 but could have been 18-19... so i set it at 23* with the timing kit. I tried to find the timing light adaptor thing but no such luck. So for all i know, the timing could be anything...

edit... Thats why Im tempted to just put the 160 pump back on cause i know that is pinned time to 16*

you can set the timing by using the spill port method.

Ok i read a bunch of them... So how do you know how many degrees its off when you dont know what the pump it self is set at?

measurement off the dampener

How accurate is this copared to the regualr method? PIn time the pump then just set it set it up with the marks?

Extremely accurate if you know the pump's pin-timing, exact TDC of the motor, and you use a precise measuring tool on the balancer/damper.

If you don't know the pump's pin timing setting, spill-port timing is probably your best bet.

Aright so I guess i will being trying to figure this out tonight. Hopefully i can not F!!K this up too bad lmao

So i verified timing and its now set at 24*, I'm sure of it lol Still about the same power and yada yada. Kinda just stumped now on why its not fueling like it should... This truck has to run 11.50s by october 10. So i need to figure this sh*t out quick lol

So i was just looking at the truck and decided to see if the pump was maxed out as far as barrels goes. Well not even close at all. Looks like where any stock 180 pump would have them set to... So Now im pretty sure this is just a stock 180 pump that has nothing done to it... So what the hell should i do now? Stick the 160 pump that i know has been benched on?
