Software beta testers needed for 'Anteater'

I am so ove rmy pcm issues, I would take this in a heartbeat if I could swing the price..
Still an option in a few months!!

so will this help any with the 02 tc lock unlock pita nobody ever really gets fixed?

i could really use this but idk about 700$..id need to sell a rifle..or a cow
 
Absolutely. There is no hunt/hysteresis. You tell it to lock at one speed, it does so, and maintains that until one of the parameters you set causes it to unlock.

That's awesome. I might need to pick one of these up at some point. I've been messing around with building my own, but it sounds like this is a lot more refined.

I fixed that issue on my dad's 01 by upping the TV cable tension.
He bought one of those noise eliminator boxes and I wired it up for him and it seemed to help, but if you were going up a grade and at the right speed 45 or so, it would lock and unlock like crazy.
Then I switched his fluid/filter with some thicker stuff, and that seemed to help some more.
Finally when I adjusted his TV screw (not just the cable), is when it went 100% away and he hasn't had it in a couple years. You could probably just do the cable, but I wanted to still give him the option to adjust with the cable.
Basically I think it just changes your throttle position and then you aren't on the brink of the ECU's parameters that seem to not overlap like they should.

All that being said, I think this stand alone would be a full proof solution.
 
I put an anti-hunt parameter that you can configure. At the same TPS% (+/-5%), your speed must change more than 3 MPH before a shift event is commanded.

really need to see about how im gonna get one of these..with all the heavy towing i do and the combo im running this would make a huge diff in my truck i know it

The fact that you can set three tunes and your own shift points makes it a no brainer lol

Do auto ecm's need to be reflashed to a manual? Guess im confused on how this module is working, in conjunction with the ecm or as a complete stand alone

You unplug the factory trans harness and VSS. The stand alone plugs into those two plugs and you splice into a 12v ignition and the signal wire on the TPS. It doesn't work in conjunction with the engine ecm, it's completely separate.

Does this throw any codes for the 03 and newer trucks? You are basically removing all communication between the trans and ecm if I'm understanding this correctly

Correct and Brandon would have to answer about the codes. I know it didn't throw any on my 01 when I installed it

No pcm on the 03 up. All integrated into the ecm. Why I'm wondering if it needs flashed to a manual file so it does care whats going on with the trans.

And whats the deal with the tv cable removal mentioned by Brandon? My truck is an 04.5 and does have the tv cable

Does or doesn't? I removed mine and zip tied the lever back.

Doesn't care. My bad. I have a daily driver, tow, weekend play truck. Putting the tv lever all the way back and commanding full pressure doesn't work well for all my uses

Mine is a DD and tow rig and I just moved my shift pattern to accommodate
