    Should I run a wider gap on the top ring than the 2nd ring ?

    Oil control ring questions

    I started grinding my ring gaps but noticed the spring in the oil control ring doesn’t want to compress at all by hand. They are Mahle .020 pistons stock bowl, chrome top ring. Do you guys ever trim the spring that holds the oil control ring ?

    The bottom of my 95’ is grimy. What’s the best way to clean it ?

    I have access to a pressure washer and a backhoe. I was thinking some super clean and elbow grease. I’d even rent a hotsy. The truck isn’t lifted The blow by tune and rear main have added a nice bit of oil along the dust and road grime. I want to clean it up nice for the tech inspection
