Regular cab resto and build

Ahem... I believe some paint has been thrown at this truck recently. Some mention of an engine soon as well..


It is going to be an extremely nice truck when completed Brandon!
 
Lol frame did get some paint attention last week. I tried to go to the track 2 weeks ago and something gave in the transmission on the way home from the shop so I decided I was done with the maroon truck... Engine got pulled Friday evening and set in the frame, transmission will get tore down this week to assess the situation, still haven't settled on a paint color, roll cage is here and needs installed and I have a lot of work to do still yet... Here are a few pictures.

Engine out in 1:45 minutes and set in the frame!

Started on the roll cage last week and got most of it done. The bends aren't exactly what I would consider good or what I would expect with a "pre bent kit" but it's going to have to work. Also did some painting on the Firewall and underside of the cab. Looks much better than before.

They have bars that weld to the main hoop that goes to the frame. The frame doesn't run on the outer edge of the cab.
 
Got a few updates pictures of progress. Ordered new wheels and tires, sold the compounds, ordered new turbo setup, bought a adjustable pump gear, timing cover and electric water pump... Starting to get some stuff done finally. Need to order stuff for intercooler piping and vbands for everything tomorrow.

One thing I'm not a fan of with bd's s400's is the hose outlet on basically a standard cover. That's why I swapped the bd cover for a box Borg standard cover on my s480
 
I have a vband cover on the way from them they were out of stock when I ordered so I had them send it like you see so I could get everything mocked up.
