South Georgia Motorsports Park, Cecil Georgia, Sept 19th

yeah he got 2nd in superstreet i think

good deal...did his intercooler boots stay on...he's been having a problem with them..i put knew ones on there ..i was wantin to know if i fixed his problem with them..

yeap wound up winning 1st in super street...i beat robert shaw...we were the only 2 in that class the other 2 trucks that were running it broke. i made a 12.17 pass at 109

results . darren won pro stock...pretty fast pass. mickey won prostreet syrupdawg won superstreet. rodger bishop won et. rudy blew water over the track. palmer snapped an input. nick norelli tweaked his front end. i think thats it.

I don't think we blew any water on the track. Oil feed to the turbo's came loose which put some oil down. Also snapped something in the tranny and possibly a rocker or lifter.

There is one thing i also want to say about this event in cecil...there was really no advertising for it. If I was not a member of CompD I would have not even known about this event. Why not get a a member of NHRDA in every region surrounding this and get them to post flyers around their towns? just my 2cents

I agree with ya on that one, I found out about it by luck, but my tranny broke thursday, but hopefully Darren can help get it back going. A 6spd manual really isn't that great for racing though. I know several went the night before to the Test and tune instead of going and running during the diesel race. Well I can't say much, I barely made it down there, but what I saw was some good racing, maybe they will do it again next year and advertise more. :rockwoot:

To everyone I got to meet, thank you for treating me with friendship and respect this was my first ever diesel event and my first bracket race and it was awesome, I got a lot to do to keep up (obviously 16.3) lol but I enjoyed every second, thank you NHRDA for pouring out your passion to keep events like this going and I truly enjoyed meeting everyone.

of course you want to go faster but isnt it just exciting? just racing down the track is cool. I was in the 08 dark silver ford parked next to you and actually followed your truck into the track. I could tell it was your 1st event. i told my guys.."gotta be his first event". If it wasnt the drive we had with no trailer, i would have raced my truck but didnt want to take the chance. Now, you GA boys need to make sure you make it down to FL for some races!

I was a little disappointed that more people weren't there to race/ spectate. That's always something we need to work on. The track was great, nice and sticky all day. Everybody that I talked to was more than nice. It was great to see some fast passes. I hated to see so much breakage for the small turnout. Nick, the duramax who tweaked the front end, made it home just fine, it's sitting at Diesel Specialist's shop. Hoping to find out more tomorrow on what it is, I know some of the cope customs guys were curious.

I took a lot of good pictures, and I'll hopefully have them edited and up by tomorrow night or so. I've got some good actions shots I need to clean up a little and play with.

don't get me wrong... I understand that everybody that races is doing it for fun and not to make money, but in my opinion... nobody is going to drive several hours and in this economy spend hundreds of dollars to compete against 2 or 3 trucks for the chance to win a trophy...

the bigger the $$$$ purse the more trucks that are going to show and race...

Heck yes lol were you the one with traction bars, that truck was awesome, thank you and Florida is a much better state anyway haha mexico beach is my place.

All about the trophy! I did pretty good on the contingency last year! It's better than a sharp stick in the you know what!

This is all very true but how would you increase the prize money? The contingency program with NHRDA is working pretty well. I don't think it's too much to ask to show the decals and buy some of their products. We've done very well racing both SuperStreet and Prostreet. I'm all for more prize money but with no more trucks than there are competing, not sure how you do it. I'm with you on the trophies, I'd rather have a nice little plaque to hang on the wall.

We have driven thousands of miles to compete this year and plan to drive even further next year to compete in the midwest and east. Dirty Max and Malcolm both do the same as does Aaron and Drevers in Alberta.

Hey man are there any vids. of the s-10 truck from pro street. I haven't seen any on you tube and I even looked up the name of their shop "pro street diesel"...there is nothing...

No, when the pictures finish loading I'll show you exactly why it wasn't a record run.
